AWARENESS: MIMI FAUST FOR ‘SAVING OUR DAUGHTERS’

August 15th, 2012

Following in the footsteps of her reality TV counterpart K. Michelle, ‘Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta’ star Mimi Faust lends her support to Saving Our Daughters and Domestic Violence & hate crimes against women awareness.

I don’t see how having herself done up like “Two-Face” from The Dark Knight is supposed to bring awareness to “hate crimes” against women? I suppose it’s the same logic that these celebrity females use when they strip naked to support the ethical treatment of animals.

It shows the disparity between abused and not abused — shock tactics. Or are we being programmed on the slick?

I thought it was about acid attacks committed against women. *shrugs*

      @ JAYE

Thank you. Your explanation makes sense if that is what that makeup represents but those attacks won’t stop because that is a part of that culture.

Clearly, the director was highlighting a duplicity here; anyone with eyes can see. As you said yoursellf — “Two Face.”

She can start by saving her own daughter. Get the hell away from Stevie J so that girl doesn’t grow up thinking he is the kind of man she should choose later in life.

That’s his daughter.Stevie j is not the crazy one,she is,cause she keeps going back to the man. That’s what wrong with some black woman. They get mad at the man for whatever reason(which in some cases they knew what they was getting in ,before they got in to it) and using that they hurt as an excuse, for the father not to see there child.

It’s not just black women,it’s not just women… If it were,Einstein wouldn’t have said this” “Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Some men keep getting with the same type of female and cry just like a biotch when it turns to chicken.

So is it me or does the woman (representing the hate crime) look like a aged woman rather than a victimized woman? Not to knock the cause but a better representation would have been better. Big ups to MiMi though

Black women commit the most violent crime against each other. The best remedy is for the black woman to marry outside the race to learn better social skills and grooming skills. Black women attitudes are still nasty and jealous filled all day and they re-teach that mess to their black girls and that why the 6 year old has that same black woman attitude. Its mainly black american women because recent Black African immigrant women dont have that attitude unless they have been in the US too long and hang around black american women and they begin to act the same way with an accent. Black women are less feminine and girly and most act and look like transvestites with all the tacky weave. Bossy all day and love white women just as much as black men, grinning and cheesing at a white woman in a minute and rolling eyes at the next black woman that look better without all the weave and black women tackiness.
Most of them still love that stereotypical Nene and Tami Roman because they identify with them calling it keeping it real, when its keeping it real nasty, rude, bossy, black attitude and violent.

This pisses me off. All of these nonstop promotional pieces for these women. It’s everywhere. Every channel on the idiot box is bringing awareness to violence committed to women etc. Lifetime is a nonstop promotional piece for women and violence committed against em. No one ever talks about the unjust these women are doing to men. Black male children, black teenage males, and black male adults get no play, no respect, and no development in this damn community. There are efforts like 100 Black men and I know cities like Chicago have “Urban Prep,” all male development schools but its still FAR few and in between being done for black males development and rearing. Then you want to know why these men are acting out in violence. Also, the nerve of all of these women doing this campaign when on the show LOVE IN HIP HOP all of them men are trash and the women are even worse than the men. Momma Dee told Scrappy to leave his baby mother to date another woman. She also called the mother of his first born and her grandchild a BITCH. Seriously! Be made at yourselves ladies.

All of a sudden these reality stars are coming out against domestic violence when they themselves promote it on national television. This is a serious issue but when you put these women up to represent for other women it just seems like a joke. It all seems scripted. I don’t know something is fishy about this.

Lmao @ Indigo. But for real I do like Mimi, shes hilarious shes just in love.with a fool but you gotta give her props bc Stevie, Karlie and Joseline constantly tries to take her there
To the point of hittin and throwing shit but all she does is cuss them out and walk away. I respect that bc Tammi, Evelyn and Chrissy woulda been fighting and acting
A damn fool. I hope she finds love and happiness. Her daughter is too cute

I’m in between because I do believe as long as the message is getting out it’s okay, but on the other hand it seems the message will be brushed aside because of the people who are delivering it. No one respects these woman. They themselves are still in abusive relationships of some sort. I.E Mimi. K. Michelle on the other hand is always ready to pop off and put hands on people as if the abusive relationship didnt teach her violence is not the answer. Maybe they should invest in real woman that’s been through this and was able to make it out alive.

Domestic Violence is WRONG! I hope the young boys are taught how to better control their anger without putting their hands on another! ANNNNDDD for YOU WOMAN!!! you need to STOP provoking situations that cause men to lose their cool! under NO circumstance is it ok for a man to hit you AND IT NOT OK FOR YOU EITHER!!! fingers in the face, mushing, slapping etc! BOTH NEED TO STOP!! I m so sick of some women playing victim and not owning up to their part

How can you possible put in a creditability in Mimi Faust when we watch her get mentally abused every week by a man who lies and cheat on her all day everyday. How can she represent a cause of empowerment when she has not strength or self love for her own well being. We will allow anyone to support any cause, even when it doesn’t truly apply to them. How can this woman represent “Saving Our Daughters”?

Mimi, along with most of the women on reality shows have this mentality I see displayed by many; “He making money though”. This is Mimi’s trump card..When Mimi and women like her argue, the first things out of their mouths are the material things their “man” bought them. So there you go,for all that want to know why she stays with Steebie.. And these lil bootleg PSAs are for them to feel THEY are doing SOMETHING.. When they really are doing nothing but being exploited. This is just ANOTHER ploy to seperate black males and females… Has anyone else realize there are no healthy black couples on prime time? When was the last time you saw a black couple kiss? Don’t worry,,,I’ll wait.

The only thing that will stop domestice violence is MEN standing up and holding other men to account (father’s, brothers, uncles, etc.)

As the quote says, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing.”
