MAG COVER: AZEALIA BANKS & DIPLO COVER VIBE

August 10th, 2012

Up and coming rapper Azealia Banks and popular DJ Diplo cover the newest issue of VIBE Magazine. The 21 year-old talked twitter beefs, chatting with Kanye and working with Diplo. Check out a snippet below…

Do you regret getting into these Twitter clashes?
AZEALIA: Of course, because it’s e-thugging… Who wants to look like that? But how else am I gonna reach y’all? I don’t have a T.I. to get on a radio show and defend me; I’m the one behind me. Y’all expect me to agree like, “Oh yea, I’m wack. I only have one song.” That’s one song y’all niggas don’t fucking have. You might win some, but you just lost one.

Kanye certainly doesn’t think you’re wack. Tell me about the time you guys first met in London last year.
AZEALIA: He hit me up like, “You’re mad talented. What do you eat for breakfast?” The whole conversation was pretty dense—two Geminis in one room. So it was so many ideas flying. [ READ THE FULL ARTICLE ON VIBE ]

I dunno…I guess she has to make an impression on the music world the best way she can because it seems like it sees your persona, then hears your music. I think this chick is talented; however, she seems to be mad arrogant – no humility whatsoever. She’s definitely relevant, but if she would use wisdom and humility everyone will see just how relevant she really is.

True, she’s barely made it through the door and she’s barging her way cuussing, insulting and harrassing and attacking everyone within a mile radius. Even if youre not humble, at least take a page from a few others’ books and fake it. People fail to realize that the industry will have you right back home in a flash.

Can this chick make good on her “hype” already and release a hit record?

If not can we all just forget about her? I’m sick of seeing her and hearing about her talking trash about established artist. Yet she hasn’t one hit song or been featured on one hit song.

EXACTLY! I never understand how some of these artists seem so comfortable at the “buzz” and “mixtape” stage….they live out an entire career’s worth of time and effort (mostly through useless social network trash talk), then they disappear.

The label gave them about $10-30 thousand to sign, they go nowhere but back home, but still, the label ends up making a few hundred thousand in profit. They dont own masters of their recordings, they gave everything away for promise of stardom…then nothing

@JOHNATHON & Neil *Applause* When it comes to her talent I have not been bless with the opportunity of witnessing the greatness people have expressed to me. I have however witness the hole that seems to be in place where her lips should be. In light terms she talks too much. The artist that have gained their millions and made their mark on this genre of music here comes the whole mouth Miss Banks talking shit. Yet she seems to ignore the fact that she has been making a couple of songs and a mixtape that has not been doing anything but taking up good quality space on the internet. We all may not be a fan of Kim or Nicki but each are actually making moves, and both are millionaires. I am sick of the talking I need some proof, when she has a number 1 hit or album I may open my ears to the noise she is making. I could never understand why artist have so much to say about Nicki & Kim, if you don’t like them why address them? If you are a better artist then why aren’t you in their place? Right now she is like a fly BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Why is VIBe still in circulation? And if this is all they could find for the Juice issue, then they really need to hang it up. But as for Azealia, I like her, but would like to see her on some more hardcore beats. Everything I’ve heard on her 1991 EP and Fantasea is very gay/club friendly with the New York house beats. Don’t know if I wanna groove or start voguing and fall into a dip on the floor.

Why don’t you break it down lol? You’ve been reading my breakdowns long enough and studying my comments hard enough. It’s time to take off the training wheels. Your comment is proof that you black women that talk about how “hateful” I am and love to make bitter comments towards me actually love what I say. Just accept it lol.

*stepping in for Judah* This cover is nothing more than the white man’s interpretation of…it’s nothing more than an agenda by that gay white man to promote vegetarianism which is surely a gateway straight to the white man’s hell….these black b!tches and their cum guzzlin belly warming for the white man ways….i’ll tell you what it’s about…the position of their arms at the top of the magazine is meant to send a message to the little black boy out there that….the white man has and will forever have yo woman…and God does not like this. in Fallopian Tubes 3:17, the Bible says “black men raise up and put these weave wearin, closeted lesbian, boot lickin, white cvnt lickin’ bumba ras clot black women in THEIR place and YOU will have a place in MY kingdom.”

Okay let me try, this cover is clearly showing how “Azealia Banks” got into the game in the first place__by screwing white men. It’s not like she’s significantly talented. This pose represents her submission to the caveman……

The black that she’s wearing represents the dark side, and the red letters on the cover represent a blood sacrifice.

Wait Wait Wait! The red of her hair signifies the blood sacrifice she will make eventually in order to become more famous and eventually become part of the illuminati. SMH lol this is how dumb this stuff sounds!!!

@RD, WAAAAIIIIT!!! the letter “A”s in all the words are triangular….they symbolize pyramids!!! lol…I do believe that there are dark forces, but I dont believe EVERYTHING is a “sign”. Lets exercise balance and restraint.

      @ AY

She doesn’t necessarily have to screw the white man to get into the business, but this cover here represents the fact that this “DJ” is also her programmer. This website had another thread on her about a month or two ago where she had her legs spread and a Mickey Mouse clock on, to show that she is under the programming. She has her head on this caveman’s chest to show that they work in harmony (as the white man and black female ALWAYS do) and she is submissive to his orders and direction. The black and white color scheme is for “As Above So Below” and the red, of course, is for the bl00d sacrifice i.e. Michael Jackson’s “Bl00d On The Dancefloor” album cover. She will blow up, it is only a matter of time….

      @ RD

You commenting everywhere you see my name represents you doing an imitation of Tarzan and swinging off of my scrotum lmaooo….

Geez…the ‘white guy’ is producer Diplo half of Major Lazer. He’s produced tracks on he mix tape and her up coming album.

He produced ‘Look at Me Now’ and wrote ‘Pon De Floor’.
