MUSIC VIDEO: KEYSHIA COLE – “ENOUGH OF NO LOVE” (FT. LIL WAYNE)

August 2nd, 2012

Check out the new music video for “Enough of Love” from singer Keyshia Cole featuring Lil Wayne. The video features a blonde Keyshia singing about another love struggle and breakup, she even put some dancing in it. I think Keyshia just better stick to singing when it comes to that though..

In related news, her fifth studio album, Woman to Woman will be in stores sometime in September..

hmmmm not sure what to say…she is one of those artist that i love on cd, but not so much in video or live (also Wayne’s part was so not necessary).

Yes Lil Wayne’s part was def so not necessary…all r&b songs don’t require a rap hook…and this vid..don’t know about it..I love the song on the radio when it first hit..kesh looks like she’s acting lil to hard as well…her and benny usually put out good work..but not so much with this 1

Right!…. Like don’t get me wrong Keyshia is Beautiful to look at and i love her voice and her song writing ability, all on point. However, she just cant seem to shack that ghetto undertone (which has worked for her in the past). I would like to see her represent a classier side because alot of her music really does sound classy , what wit all the instruments her production team uses. Unfortunately this video didn’t appeal, there was way too much going on. She should have dropped the crazy room scene and focused the video on more or less of what actually happened in the song, the video could have taken place in a restaurant… and Wayne should have been required to dress up like maybe a shirt and tie, some jean perhaps…. i feel like i could have done a better job producing this video.. no offense Benny

    Who Me?

Why was Wayne featured again? Lol his verse was beyond weak. It’s something about keyshia’s voice that I don’t like. She looks pretty tho lol minus the black bandana w/ the Chanel thing hanging from it.

The video was kinda cute to me- not feeling the song. It is just kinda weak to me. Sounds like a filler/leftover from her past work… And wayne is not needed like someone else mentioned.

To me, Keyshia should have a more uptempo song for the summer to get ppl hype since she hasn’t released anything in a minute…

    • Ms. Hay-Mon

YES I totally agree with an uptempo from her. I’m tired of these type of songs, “you can have him, he gone miss this, I feel like calling the next chic up”…blah blah blah…cry me a freakin river.

YESSSS! This is my GIRL! Thank the LORD we got some real R&B out there and Mariah is dropping her single today. SUMMER of the Women of R&B and I wouldn’t have it any other way. LOVED it all. She looked great, sounded great and I appreciate!

No, MIA, Chile Please is right. There is a difference between singing and straining/shouting. Keyshia clearly does the latter. Also, theres no big difference between Keyshia and Nikki; different facets of the same idea; the uneducated angry or strange black woman. Keyshia acts like a ghetto girl and Nikki acts like a mentally underdeveloped child.

She is singing with pain. This is not a pop song and her tone and vocals go with the lyrics. I guess if you want something lighter that is not really reflective of true R&B then of course this wouldn’t appeal to you.

I actually like the song, Keyshia always comes out with a pretty solid R&B record or two. That last album just wasn’t it man…I tried to love it but I didn’t.mKeyshia stays consistent for the most part, and she’s one of those artist who don’t strive for mainstream appeal she just does what she does and sticks to it.

    The lyrics are really relatable:

I admit that you almost had me
I admit I was almost crazy
Had me thinking ’bout calling that b-tch at night and let her know where she can come and meet me
    But it’s cool i’mma be a lady
She think she cute but she don’t phase me
And if you knew about all this good love you’ll be missing out on you wouldn’t, uh, played me!

    Can’t say I’m not hurt
I’d be damned if I’m broken
What we had is now hers
Let her know she can have it

I hate the video though…and the choreography was sh*t

    Lil’ Gremlin is washed now.

Things I don’t like about the vid.

Her facial expressions, the blond green black roots in her hair. The unnecessary lightest blond wig/weave she could find and that mediocre choreography.

Other than that , it was ok. Not a banger.

NO IT IS NOT DEAD, it is for a mature audience AND if you have a GOOD ear for GOOD music. Why do you think the talentless Hip Hop artist, if that’s what you want to call them; are ALWAYS sampling R&B and playing the tracks…because it was whack…I don’t think so. Go sit down and learn something youngster….LOL SMH

Comercial = Mediocre, easy to learn, meaningless lyrics aimed at simpletons to numb their minds further + a thumping beat even when its not necessary to disguise the fact that the song actually sucks complete with some gyrating or “choreography” wherever it can be added. Real talent is an added bonus but not in anyway necessary. But if that’s what you like…

Ummm NOPE you’r wrong babe! If RnB music was dead then why in the hell is Adelle (who is ONLY popular because she sings/sounds like a Black woman) selling 21 million albums. C’mon now. RnB ain’t going no where, the music itself conveys emotion better than any other genre of music.

Right now that electro-pop crap is having it’s time…yeah ok…but do you think 5-10 years from now that that kind of music will still be reining??? Trust me it won’t be.
The only reason RnB is on the outs right now is because it is not and has not been promoted like it should by record compannies because they are using this pop crap to increase their bottom line. It will only be temporary. People will always crave real music.

On the real, Keyshia’s the only R & B chick I really dig. She’s so raw and genuine. She stayed true to that with this song. She hasn’t missed a beat. He facial expressions and voice express the pain of the song beautifully. So in that case i’m riding with a girl name Keyshia!

Also, she’s happy now…ain’t no sadness in marrying the love of your life. It sounds like forced writting let me give them what they used too. Someone said earlier it sounds like filler…it really does. Then you put the visual of the vdieo to it….yeah I had to turn the channel outta shame for her.

I can’t watch the video.. But now that I know the lyrics I have to say.. Keyshia is too old to keep singing songs like this… It’s much deeper than this rah,rah ghetto chit, who think they’re cute, and what not.. I wish there were a movement of females getting their minds right instead of singing mess like this..ENOUGH! She’s married, and is a mother… Make songs that reflect your life, well maybe this does..shrug

THANK YOU!!! I commented along the same lines as you, but of course, Im being moderated. This “angry black scorned woman” trend has got to stop. Artists need to read books, listen to other music…anything to gain inspiration. Also, they need to stop getting 18-20yr olds to write all their songs for them. Wheres romance, love, tenderness, fear, shyness, flirtiness, curiosity…etc?? Why is music so “angry” and “ghetto” all the time?

LOL I’ll be fine with being called a hater, but I had to say it. Even J-hud, who’s being called “the new whitney” screams about the same tired “mad black woman” issues….Bey, who’s graduated to being “creole”, hollywood elite, mainstream megastar, STILL sings about the same “no good man” crap. Wheres the class and sublety in “black music” today? No wonder the British have taken our stuff and are selling it right back to us.

@Morning Glory, there really isnt anything wrong in the subject matter itself….I mean, greats like Aretha Franklin and Etta James sang of men doing them wrong….but they also sang about other aspects of life. They also sang about marriage, day-to-day events, happiness…..etc. Nowadays, men sing about having sex, women sing about the men having sex with someone else.

The problem with these artists is that they record songs that are written by 18-20yr old college kids with not much experience in music/writing and in life itself. This is why we keep hearing the same “angry black woman” type of songs. There is no romance, tenderness, metaphors, poetry, imagery. Everything is “im tired of yo mess” “Im leavin” “you dont love me like he do”. Back in the 60s n 70s, people practiced and perfected their craft….now, u just gotta know someone. As for Keyshia, she has a decent voice but poor vocal technique; just shouts and because her voice isnt naturally loud, she strains. It’s artists like her who make artists like Adele seem like gods, when theyre not really all that great. Dear Sensitive Police: If this makes me a “hater”, so be it.

I cant believe that the record label let her put out another album after the last one flopped!

I’ve only heard this song 1 time and I did not like it BUT I will give it another listen. I’m not a K Cole fan( I did like a few of her songs tho) I wasn’t impressed with the video but I can see that she is trying to revamp her image and I don’t blame her. Hopefully she does well with this album.

Since the album is called woman 2 woman…then it makes sense that songs with this theme will be on there. Either way I hope that she does well.
