NEW MUSIC: CIARA – “LIVIN’ IT UP” + INFO ON THE NEW ALBUM

August 20th, 2012

Check out the teaser single “Livin’ It Up” from singer-dancer Ciara. The 26 year-old has been working steadily on new music since inking a new deal with Epic Records last year. She also released the cover to her official single, “I’m Sorry” earlier today. Ciara’s album, One Woman Army will hit stores later this year.

I don’t think the album will hit stores next month. LA Reid said last week that it would hit stores in November.

Anyway, I love this song! Go Cici!

There’s NO WAY Ciara’s only 26 years old….I’m not buying it. She came out in 2002/2003 and was 18/19 then. Nice try.

Why do people who can’t sing become singers??

      @ CHEERS.
Because they can be used to promote certain agenda’s that these Caucasians want to get across. Singers that can’t sing will do almost anything for fame, and Caucasians do use that to their advantages. Ciara has done nothing her entire career but promote l*sbianism

Well who else runs and owns the entertainment industry huh Sherlock? Some of you black people are so stupid that you can’t even decipher who and what’s in control, and you had the nerve to call me ignorant. All you’re doing is showing me why you black women need a dominant male figure in your life. Answer this question ma’am, if I’m so ignorant then why won’t you teach me?

I like it, as a first single, but I don’t love it. Here’s hoping her second single is an upgrade because this is no #1.

This sounds like garbage that they hoped would appeal to white people. It won’t work….another fail for Ciara.

This comment is very ignorant. I am an African American woman and I enjoy pop just as much as RNB and HipHop so no…pop or the “pop” sounding music does not only appeal to white people. smdh

This song walks a fine line between popular music and the euro pop sound everyone is running to, but I like this MUCH better than her usual uptempo dance music.

This is Ciara’s best effort since her 2nd album. I’m happy her new label decided to go in a new direction. My only problem is her voice. It almost comes off as karaoke.

What happened to her single that suppose to came out yesterday? “Sorry” ballad? The label delayed it? Reminds me of Brandy push back. Instead they released this crap? If it was Top 10 worthy they would of been released it.

    @LOTUS

This seems like the same “direction” as Fantasy Ride. That album was full of pop/r&b songs. Her voice is horrible, having 2 years off since her last album, she could of attended voice lessons. I think they delayed “Sorry” because everyone is talking about Rihanna interview. Her new single should be pop influence song not a ballad because she can’t sing, hearing a ballad from her is not going to make anyone want to buy her 5th album.

What happened to her, I remember back in 2004-2006 when crunk was in she was hot but once crunk declined unfortunately so did her career. She doesn’t know her sound, she was in her own lane, then once she tried to branch out into pop it failed. The song is terrible. She looks better with black hair, she stood out. Now she seems like a wannabe. OWA sound she be Hip Hop with some pop influence. You can’t try to conquer pop when R&B/Pop don’t accept you.

Rihanna has her sound and fans. So you can’t compare them and you can’t compare ciara to Katy or any of those white girls. I think she’ll make 90,000-100,000 her first week.

CIARA…Honey Iam a fan….Please do take this the wrong way because you have had my support since Goodies and The Evolution but after that you fell off. Now I don’t know if it was an accident or straight sabotage but baby please get you some NEW WRITERS. This song is cute but it does not have enough power to be a chart topper. PLEASE DO BETTER I want to see you succeed.

Who is she trying to sound like. This sounds like Miley Cyrus or one of those other little girls. I’m not sure how well this will do. If she’s trying to appeal to children then she’s spot on.

LOL at these comments. I agree with most. It’s obvious that Ciara/CERROR can’t sing worth a lick. She has such a weak and pitiful voice. She looks a mess in that pic and the blonde doesn’t fit her at all. I knew her new material would be so wack and dated. She’s 27 (will be soon) and hasn’t accomplished much in her career and I’m surprised a major label signed her after 2 of her albums bombed. My problem with her is that she really can’t sing and her image is overly sexual, but forced and not memorable.

WOW these negative comments..its so easy to hate someone. Nowadays its very hard to please anyone because they are so used to hearing the same old music (which was good) but its time for a change. You guys are creatures of habbit smh Ciara is going to be successful…like her or not…
