Republican presidential candidate, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney took the stage to deliver his nomination acceptance speech during the final day of the Republican National Convention at the Tampa Bay Times Forum on Thursday, August 30, 2012 in Tampa, Florida. Mitt is pictured above with Republican vice presidential candidate, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)…
Mr. Romney listed his 5 plans for bringing more jobs to America, including: 1. Energy independence by 2020, 2. School choice, 3. Trade agreements, 4. Cut deficit, 5. Cut taxes & repeal Obamacare (VIEW VIDEO)..
As for veteran actor-director Clint Eastwood, there are no words for what he did on Thursday night. You just have to watch the bizarre video below and see for yourself.
CLINT EASTWOOD’S BIZARRE SPEECH
As for President Obama’s response to Thursday night’s RNC? View his tweet below:

GIRL BYE!!!!!
why r u saying girl bye? and lmao at clint eastwood while i watching this i was amazed at the level of stupidity and ignorance of these people smh
@GRRRRRR – Johnosahon is saying “girl bye” to him. I am concerned about some of the things I’ve heard about BO from relatives in Chicago. I forget who but someone at the RNC convention already said “Mitt and Anne Romney have a real marriage”. I’m praying Michelle & BO have a real marriage and there are no secrets to be exposed. That would hurt the black psyche immensely. It would make a great “E. Lynn Harris” book if he was still alive.
@Nikki WOW for real E. Lynn Harris. I too am from Chicago but live in the DC area; I hope it’s just rumors. I feel if there was something legit; it would have already been uncovered…I mean they dove into him right down to his DNA. BUT then; nothing surprises me anymore with folk.
What do u mean by a real marriage. A marriage is a marriage. Try to make some sense.
OMG to u DUMB people talking about “real marriage” im pretty sure she was referring to GAY mArriage union, she was saying their marriage is a Real union under gods eyes as opposed to gay marriage but under the radar. This bich and that Dead eyed husband of hers need to kick rocks!!
When he started speaking all I could do was smile because he just made it EASIER for President Obama to win again! Thanks Clint. #Salute lol
Amen!
Not so fast. Romney is still poised to win and win big in November.
@Lyingryan LMFAOOOO, You’re funny.
Not trying to be funny. I am dead serious. This all is very serious. Americans’ way of life is at stake.
@ LyingRyan
Even more of an reason to take your comments as a big FAT joke!
@simplyblessed, tell the few million voters who is expected to vote for the democratic ticket and president Obama in the battleground swing states who been knocked off the voting role by republican legislators that what I said is a joke.
I will ask, how is the president to win in states that will determine the election if the numbers don’t add up and the numbers arent there for the president to win? With that what are the odds Romney will win? No joke hon.
I love the presidents’ tweet…K.O without even saying a word
I loved that too!
Cosign!!!
I didnt think Clint Eastwood’s speech was bizarre. If this was the Democratic Convention we would be cheering and clapping. We didn’t like it because he’s going against our guy. Obama should think about why he is in this situation. He started his Presidency with complete control of the Senate. He ABSOLUTELY takes the black vote for granted. His machine will demonize Clint Eastwood because the white voters he courts so vigorously might respond to a guy like Clint Eastwood.
I got the sense that he didn’t prepare in the least. lol.
Sweety, the president is not the black president for black people but the president for all Americans. This president is a centrist president who has to walk and has been walking a political tightrope. You have ur gripe with him, White people have their gripe with him, Latinos have their gripe with and every group have a gripe with him. Brace urself for a Romney presidency as he is poised to win this election.
@ILOVEOBAMACARE – you’ve embraced that tag line..he’s everyone’s President? How sad. Black people have supported, defended and debated for him like no one else. Yet, he (and team Obama) OVEREMPHASIZES that “I am not the black President, I am everyone’s President.” No one has ever asked him to not be everyone’s President. Just show us the same love you show women (first law he sign supported women), Latinos (check all the love he showed them at the Hispanic Caucus) and of course the gay people (gay marriage, get rid of ‘don’t ask don’t tell’). I’m tired of Tom Joyner and Russ Parr saying ‘he can’t do this, he can’t say that’. Hell, if he can’t do or say anything for black people then why the should I vote for him??? Why should I be crying about ‘making history’. Why should I buy a t-shirt that shows the faces of Frederick Douglass, MLK and Obama…as if he is a final step or pinnacle? I’m so over him.
And the Republican leader, John Boehner, just stated in public that he hope that “blacks and latinos” don’t show up this election…sounds like he might have you right where he wants you…sad
Kenya youre right on point.Common sense rational thinking.
@Kenya, I chose to look at the bigger picture and not be shortsighted. I can take offense with the president and object to his choice of doing some things and not doing other things. But not for what you outline but I respect that feeling u express.. We have a different perspective and outlook on these things. Things like signing into law the patriot act that would affect black people but all people and pandering to the do nothing congress.
@Kenya, I think more than anything else or one of the things terrible things the president did was signing that patriot act. The biggest picture for me has to do with the whole republican party who I detest and maybe most of all lying Paul Ryan who has been chosen as Mitt ” the Wimp” Romney’s VP pick. The night after president Obama was inaugurated and sworn into office (unlucky number) 13 republicans including Ryan and Newt Gingrich sat in a Restaurant and conspired to “railroad” and “undermine” obama’s presidency. THEY HAVE NEVER EVER LET UP!!! I will continue to embrace this so-called tag line u talk about.
@Dee – seems like the President & Company have you right where he wants you…only concerned with symbolism, impressed by singing a few lines in an Al Green song, obsessed with being on the ‘right side of history’ all the while ignoring your community (assuming you’re Af_Am), giving Cosby-style tough talk for political gain and relegating the MOST loyal group to the Democratic party. I don’t give a damn about Republicans & what they want. Every politician, including the irreproachable Obama, has to earn my vote. This is not about the other side, this is about whether or not you are good more me and people who look like me; whether or not you appreciate and deserve my vote. Go back to your campaign rally with your teary-eyed self.
@ Kenya YOU SPOKE THE 100% TRUTH ABOUT THIS ISSUE!!!
This has been my sentiment for some time now….I guess some people are so glad to see a black man in power that they are willing to completely overlook the obvious…
BUT I must say that I strongly believe that BO is definitely part of the NWO and based on this fact (regardless of how much hype they put out there for Romney) it is all smoke and mirrors. I believe that Obama will WIN this next election regardless of the vote. Just like Bush did.
We like to think that we are in a REAL democracy but we are not. Romney is just a distraction and part of the game. It is whoever the NWO wants in power and since BO has been groomed by them and hand-picked to take America in the direction that they want….I would be VERY surprised if BO is not reelected.
My comments may be too deep for some people….
All I can say is Do YOUR RESEARCH FOLKS.
BTW—> I didn’t even bother watching Clint Eastwoods speech because I KNOW that it is all fake propaganda.
Further more I peeped Clint Eastwoods RACIST MINDSET a long time ago…This is the same man who publicly said that Spike Lee ” Needs to shut his face”!!! Riiiiight. Not that I agree with a lot of stuff that Spike says BUT the point is Clint Eastwood would’ve NEVER EVER said that about ANY WHITE film maker regardless of what they disagreed on.
This man has never hidden the fact that he is racist.
I thought his speech was witty, he had some good points. Especially when he said politicians are OUR employees. The chair thing was a reference to a movie with an imaginary friend, I don’t know the name or details, but it was a clever reference. That being said, I’m still voting for Obama. But I enjoyed what Clint had to say.
I enjoyed Clint to…but Obama all the way
I thought I was going to be the only one to actually write that I enjoyed his speech. It was funny to say the least, and he made some pretty relevant points. However, he did not make me believe that Mr. Romney is the best choice for president, but that he just does not agree to the president that is currently in office. Just to make a point out of one of the points that I did not agree with him about is that greedy businessmen are the reason why this country is in the shape it is in now. I do not agree 100% with Obama, but I think he has done a pretty decent job with the hand he was dealt. With that said, I will be voting for Obama again this year.
Thank God some of us get it! He was witty, got their points across pretty well albeit with a few stumbles (typical for a man that age though…). Nonetheless, he’s doing what they do – misconstrue years of mismanagement THEY caused, downplay the plights of the majority of Americans in favor of the rich minority, point out faults that were evident with their last guy (I’m sorry, but during our gas crisis in his 8, did GW sit his weird self in AF1 for ANY TRIP HE PLEASED, even to read to kiddies????? – H@LL YEAH he did). But, they are Repubs, who know how to go for the win,
soooooooo……,
– 4 MORE YEARS – OBAMA IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!
LOL…I love Clint Eastwood; grew up watching his movies. I couldn’t get with the chair thing and some of the jokes, he seemed to be stammering at times; BUT I was entertained by this entertainer. Someone above said when the DNC is on, they will do the same thing; I agree…I’m sure some of those politicians will make fools of themselves too. It’s all a show for them; I’m ready for all this to be over because they all lie.
Wowww Clint was on one. With his about to die at the podium ass.
LMAO!! I said the same thing as I watched. His old ass needs to fall back like Mccain.
Clint is old
Clint is a fossil!! He was all over the place, hair standing on top of his head, itching and scratching, messing up words with the teleprompter right in his face….Ughhhh! Please, he did not move me nor was he witty! “This seat is taken!” Well said Mr. President
a) I LOVE when President Obama gets down like that. Def retweet.
b) I have always enjoyed Clint as an actor and I appreciate his work. I just want to know who in the Romney camp thought he would be a game changer? He is not a strong speaker like Charlton Heston which is what I think they were going for by trotting him out. One of numerous fails for them and wins for us Dems. Next..
Clint has been going senile for a while now………….
Ikr! lol
thats what im talking about obama
If Clint Eastwood made a fool of himself and if he’s old and senile, why would the President of the Unite States of America bother to respond in any manner??? People inside the beltway have said that Obama is nervous. I believe that now….and he should be. Poor guy, I really liked him four years ago. I’m not a Republican, not a fan of Romney but I am NOT excited about Obama. I do not tie my hopes and dreams to his Presidency. I do not see him as a tranformational figure. I am prepared for a loss.
Prepare for a losss if you want to BUT I AM PREPARING TO GET TO WORK TO MAKE SURE OBAMA GETS BACK INTO OFFICE.
I COMPLETELY understand what you are saying and agree; NOT too excited about voting this year. BUT will because too many have died for my right to vote. I will look at ALL the points and hope I make the right choice; I really don’t trust or believe any of them.
@Ms. Hay-Mon – people say that a lot and it is true. People fought for the RIGHT to vote. I have that right & I cherish it. If I am disenchanted with the presidential race I can vote for school board, my local congress, etc. Also, by NOT exercising your right to vote, you can shake up conventional wisdom and create change that way. You may give your group the attention they deserve if you & others like you do not turn out. Have you thought of this? It’s a compelling idea to me.
@Roberto-No I haven’t; BUT that definitely is something to think about as well.
Awww…looks like the CL board has been infiltrated by trolls…LOL…trying to sway the “urban” blogs huh?
“You may give your group the attention they deserve if you & others like you do not turn out. Have you thought of this? It’s a compelling idea to me.”
Really Roberto? You cherish the right to vote but you tell folks not to vote in the presidential election? LOL…talk about a hypocrite…if anything you should be trying to get them to vote in EVERY election that impacts them…nice try….
@Dee, I know right. As I read Robertos response to Ms.Hay-Mon, I thought “did I read that right??”. Sounds like he’s trying to persuade us not to vote. Smh…
The Republicans just been bashing Obama since the start of their convention. They haven’t once told what they would do “IF” they get in the office. The only ones that will vote for Romney are the ones that hate Obama. Obama received the economy at it’s worse, its going to take longer than four years to turn it around. America is so impatient. I didn’t find Eastwood speech clever or entertaining, it was embarrassing. I don’t care about their families, or backgrounds, I wanted to know how they “think” they could make the economy better. Romney and that Ryan dude are LIARS. If they get voted in it will be BUSH #2 and he will start another war.
They didn’t say what they are going to do because they don’t want the people to know how bad it’s going to get. Romney has all plans to send people back to their own countries and I can gurantee those are going to be the people voting for him. We are screwed if either one of them are in office. I agree that this was a mess before President Obama got in office and Americans are impatient but I just don’t see where things are going to get right unless there is a straight war going on. We are going to have to fight for our rights.
@Mel, I love u for ur comment. U understand what’s at play. THIS republican party is operating and driven by hate, bigotry, and racism. Not all of them but it is overwhelming. And, their lies take my breathe away. It’s unbelievable and it leaves me speechless. The lying is tremendous, I just can’t believe in 2012 we are having this.
Them people at the RNC was clapping for everything. You could say the sky is blue and they would cheer.
OK, I’m cracking up at these comments, Clint is a Fossil?? OMG, funny. I do think he was a bit witty, but his old a** need to sit down, his time has come and gone. Is that the best the RNC can do? They have no youthful, energetic, progressive minded positive role models because they’re an old white male organization trying to remain in power. I don’t blame them for trying to hold on, but PRESIDENT OBAMA GOT THIS. Sh*t, it’s their party that got us into this mess in the first place, it took them many terms to screw us up, so can Obama please have 4 more to continue digging us out? WE JUST NEED TO MAKE SURE WE GET OUT THERE AND VOTE!!! We can’t let these idiots back in….not yet…here’s hoping we’re grooming the next Great Democratic leader after Obama, so they don’t get back in for a good long while. Come on people, let’s do this. let’s show ‘em what Black America is made of when we’re “collective” in our efforts. Rock the Vote…Peace!
Agreed!!
These old farts, like Eastwood, Belafonte, and Cosby will say what ever pops into their infected heads. And, at their ages, they can come up with lots of pops. I chalk Clint’s skit up to “entertainment” that will only appeal to the GOP base. No one in their right mind will be swayed by a rambling old fool…even if he is able to connect a few dots. Barack would never tell someone to go “F” themself. But, it is possible to do. Just look at Sandusky, Cornelius, and Long. They all did “that” to themselves.
LOL, I love Obama!
Clint Wastwood is an Old Racist White Piece of Trash I wonder how he can stand to look
At his Brown Wife and his kid is a rich spoiled idiot like him too burning a 45,000 birken bag just for her reality tv show. Those Kinds of People …Please!
Really CONCRETE …was this article really necessary..who gives a RATS *sss….leave the Republican nonsense to CNN please…
Ask yourself: Why would you vote for a homosexual lover (O b a m a) when you dislike homosexual marriage?
Romney 2012
Romney 2012 cause it’s Adam and Eve not what Obama thinks…Adam and Steve/Eve and Amanda
To vote for Romney should he win will be George Bush on STEROIDS.
Are you gay? Because it’s always those hiding their sexual identity that even care about another consenting adults sexual preference.
@ILoveOmabaCare We must take the risk and vote for Romney or you’ll be a hypocrite.
@StupidClay When you see 2 men kissing outside or holding hands it’s all your fault for voting for your current pres.DO NOT COMPLAIN. It’s YOUR fault.Don’t close your eyes or nothing. You voted for it.
Romney2012
Why is it your business who is sleeping with whom? You go ahead and vote for Romney and everyone else will vote for who they want…pretty simple…
Everyone’s spinning themselves into butter…lol “They” already have a winner.. History has shown, your vote does not put anyone in the WHITE house. But like any other game, politics are played..lol Everyday people like to think their vote matters…Hey,,knock yaselves out!
Hey Indigo! You know some people never paid attention in Government class lol.
And people think their elected officials will serve/represent their needs. Amazing…when has that ever happened?!!!! Politics/government is such a game and most people don’t even have a clue about it. Guess it’s working.
At best, politics keep the public fighting and taking sides while NONE of the issues get addressed. Smoke and mirrors! I don’t need any of these fools to speak for me. I’d love For individuals to vote on everything. Want to raise a tax…I need to vote on it. Want to cut social security….yeah ima need to vote on that one too. We have no power with the current structure. These fools get in office and do what the hell they want to. I’m just saying…
I guess the moderators are off tonight…LOL
I’ve read several just right stuff here. Definitely worth bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how a lot effort you put to make this type of excellent informative site.
i guess, i was the only one who caught on the Clint Eastwoods ” WE OWN THIS COUNTRY”. who is “WE”??? mmmmmmhmmmmm
When I heard “WE” own this country I was thinking are they talking about White people taking back from the “black” man? I don’t get “WE” part. Republicans are greedy, if Romney get in office, it will be a war and middle class will be no more.
The Republicans in Congress have blocked everything that the Democrats tried to do. Now they want to blame Obama? It takes more then 1 term to fix what Bush started.
I heard about that peanut incident also. One of the attendees threw peanuts at a black woman that worked for CNN and stated that’s how we feed the animals. This is 2012 not the 50′s. I hope Romney doesn’t win, I believe the Government already have a winner though.
@Keshia, COSIGN!!! They mean to win by any means necessary even lying their way to the white house. Take a look at the way Romney walks, the walk of a stone cold liar. Black people in trouble if he get in. Again, it will be George Bush on steroids. He will be busting union, closing schools in our communities and our kids will have to travel out of district to schools (they been doing that in Detroit and Philadelphia and Pittsburgh), and of course, repealing obamacare, obliterating Medicare, Medicaid, social security. Woo! Its gon be HELL!
He wouldn’t even address him as President Obama. Smh
They never do! It’s as if repubs took an oath not to show respect…peep some of the fox news shows.
You’re right, sad.
@keshi
you’ra right, they did try to block, hinder everything president obama was trying to accomplish. they would rather run this country into the ground than to see a black president be successful. also, it’s a way to assure he would only be a one term president. it’s one of the tactics called black ops. they wanted to make him appear incompetent. now, if romney becomes president (which will be a sad day for america), they will all cooperate, work together to make it appear that he knows what he’s doing.
so people will say see, we needed a white president. but it was a white president who got us in this sad state of affairs.
EXACTLY!!! They are dying to make the First Black President, The First President to do 1 TERM!
But Americans are going to learn the hard way if that racist wins…they are going to LEARN especially the poor and middle class minorities!
They can bet that on their MAMA’S life!
Funny how people want to keep trying to convince folks that Romney has this election in the bag…yeah ok! That is the oldest trick in the book, I will be voting and the only way these racist fools will win is if they pull a Bush….that is STEAL VOTES!
Black people you are damn fool if you think Romney gives a rats ass about us and somehow your life is going to instantly change by voting for him or not voting at all!
Forget all of that shat….I am out there EARLY VOTING AND MY ENTIRE DAMN FAMILY WILL BE TOO!
And it will be for OBAMA…he deserves 8 years just like all the rest of these FUQ’ed up lying Presidents of the pass!
Clint made a fool of himself
Harvard lawyers shouldnt be allowed to run things ?
uhm sorry Clint but Romney is also a Harvard educated lawyer
Obama shouldnt have taken us into Afghanistan ?
Sorry Clint but weve been there since 2001 …when did Obama take office again ?
May the best man win, but there will still be gridlock, but people need to vote, because we all should be concerned about who Mitt Romney will elect to serve on the Supreme Court, because a few of the judges will be retiring soon. Speaking of retirement Clint Eastwood needs too, its time to let it go. SMH.
I didn’t know what to make of Eastwood’s antics but I resolved to thinking he was playing both the republicans and the president in a skit outling his own opinion on political issues today and let people make what they want out of how he did what he did.
I cannot wait until the debates start, we will see just how experienced and intelligent Mitt is going to appear. The only base in the repub platform seems to be” lets just get the black guy out of office”. The repubs block any reforms President Obama tries to enact. God forbid they get in office the reforms that Obama wants to enact will be rehashed by Mitt and passed as legislation. They do not want the legacy of the United states return to economic recovery and social stability to be credited to an African American(SLAVE). Racism is a mental illness.
The Republican tea baggers and racists would rather run this country into the ground before anyone but a Neo-George Bush gets the credit for USA’s recovery. Its going to take at least twelve years to get us back on track and trust Miott is not the answer. It is sad to think that he is the only choice for the repubs? sad Wow GET OUT AND VOTE FOR OBAMA!
#CHURCH
Obama! Obama! The policies the Republicans are trying to have out there are ridiculous and take away opportunities for minorities such as myself. I live in a country where I am hated for being black. It is sad but trust this is my home and I deserve rights. Being the president is a hard task and one man can only do so much. How about you people complaining about what Obama hasn’t changed look at yourselves and ask “Why didn’t I run for the presidency?” #Inthatorder
I wonder if things would’ve been any different if Herman Cain had remained a contender…or maybe he would’ve caused a division amongst Obama’s black constituency and that’s why that ‘scandal’ popped up??
Would’ve been a true circus though lol
