This irritates me so much. For the 100th time people, Zoe is of African decent, yes. However she is not black. She is Puerto Rican and Dominican. I’m sick of African Americans always getting upset when Spanish people don’t say they are black. Do you want her to stop listening to salsa? Stop speaking Spanish? Stop eating eating Spanish food? Leave her alone. Do I think she was a wise choice to pick to play Nina? No. However, I am sick to death of Black people telling me and other Puerto Rican’s that we need to say we are black. Let us claim our culture. We don’t challenge yours.

I’m not really even going to go into that aspect of it, but so-called “hispanics” really believe that they are “Spanish”, as in caucasian Europeans that speak that language. Like I said though, they’re not any worse than “black Caribbeans” that claim modern day Britain or “black Americans” that are “patriotic Americans”. Because of how widespread slavery was (YES, believe it or not, slavery wasnt only in a one-square-mile area of South Carolina), there are blacks in Puerto Rico, Cuba, and on most other Caribbean Islands you dont necessarily associate with being "black". Oh, not to shock you, but there are white Africans too. The actress, Charlize Theron is African…in fact, I think she's now an American citizen, which makes her African-America. Judah, can you PLEASE explain the difference between RACE and NATIONALITY/CULTURAL BACKGROUND? I dont understand what’s so hard about recognizing that “Black” isnt a nationality, and that one can be black but Mexican, for example. People need to read.

This is all white america not wanting to put an actual dark women in the movie. Anything to keep us out so they would go get a Puerto Rican or dominican whatever the hell she is to play the role knowing damn well that she doesn’t fit and that’s just being real. Nothing about her says Nina Simone and the industry knows this. They could have gotten multiple women to play this role. I’m sorry to me this was a ridiculous choice. Your “race” and your “nationality” are the same thing, if you understand what those words actually mean as opposed to what the new definitions of those words are. They both denote your SEEDLINE, meaning your origin through your FATHER. “RACE” comes from the word “RAZA”, meaning “SEED” i.e. “$PERM”. “NATION” comes from the word “NATIONEM”, meaning “BIRTH, KINDRED, SPECIES”, etc. You must look up the etymology of words to know what they actually mean, so that you know how to use them in their proper context instead of the corrupted modern day context. “Black” is not a “race”, it is a color. The caucasian changed the meaning of the words “race” and “nation”, and also changed the categorization of the races and nations when they came into power in the 1700′s. That’s why I stated, when these people (particularly these bitter black women) start talking about how this female “Evelyn” is a “PR”, they don’t know what they’re talking about (as usual). In MODERN DAY definitions, you’re “nationality” is where you have CITIZENSHIP. That premise came from the Babylonians and Egyptians and was perfected by the Romans, who’s society is reborn in this current society. A “black” person born in “China” is not “Chinese” lol. He/she is a CHINESE CITIZEN. As basic as that is, that will go over some people’s heads unfortunately. Your CULTURE is pertaining to how you were raised and what customs were part of your nation and race of people (in the real sense of the words). This is why I’ve said, “black” people have no culture other than slave culture, unless they know where they’re actually from. That is how one knows that this society is modern day Babylon, because the word “Babylon” means “confusion”, and that is what the people in this society are.
