Looks like it’s a great week for black men in television! Terrence J, Michael Strahan and Steve Harvey are making major moves in their careers.
1. Terrence J. Best known as the host of BET’s 106 & Park is now opting to step his game up and replace Ryan Seacrest on E! News. This is a great look for him and gives him more of an open ended appeal. Terrence is slated to start work with E! in November and he is still going to be acting in upcoming projects.
2. Michael Strahan is now the co-host of ‘Live! with Kelly.’ Now it will be called ‘Live! with Kelly & Michael’. After months of testing possible hosts, the former football star passed. Congrats to him.
3. Steve Harvey. Already pulling in major bucks from his radio show, book deals, movie deals and hosting a popular game show. Now he is stepping into the talk show circuit with his own daytime show, The Steve Harvey Show. He’s been successful in everything else, so I’m guessing he might make this work too.
Congrats to all three men. Whether you like them or not, it’s good to see more black men on television in a positive light.

Race has nothing to do with it. They are both well-qualified men to handle these roles and I wish them much success in their new endeavors.
