Hello Everyone,
First off, I want to apologize to our loyal readers for the lack of posts this past week. Right now, Concrete Loop is going through some growing pains and within the next few months you will be seeing some major changes to the site and staff. I read a lot of your comments and yes we have fallen off and yes it hasn’t been the same as it once was. However, I still believe in my brand and will continue to grow it until I feel I can’t do it anymore. As the owner of this company, I reserve the right to cease posting until I feel certain things are ironed out.
Thank you for the emails and messages and even for the negative critiques. They are all helping in this next phase of Concrete Loop. We do appreciate our supporters and your patience during this turbulent time.
With that said, I would like to leave the comment area open for suggestions and ideas on what you would like to see from Concrete Loop in the upcoming months. Fire away..

1. Maybe enlist some interns they’re free and anyone and everyone would love to have concreteloop on their resume
2. Keep the music coming! Bryan used to be on it!
3. How about recruit some new faces from coast to coast.. Like Cali folks posting about a 2 chainz concert and new yorkers at fashion week. If you can’t be there let the public speak for concreteloop. Everyone would love to get that job. ( I would

Oh lawd, thank God CL knows that they fell off. CL was the first entertainment site that i started following regularly back in 2006. This is where i first heard of Drake through one of your New Music entries. Please bring back Artists To Watch, New Music, and e.t.c. Stay away from posting about gossip and post facts only. A while a go there used to be sites that posted on the charities celebrities were a part of and pictures showing them do good deeds. I don’t see that anymore. Stop posting pictures of celebs from their Instagram or Twitter pages. It’s clear that these celebs themselves aren’t hiding what they’re saying, thinking, wearing, and doing anymore. It isn’t news if it’s coming straight from the source. I also know that people don’t email anonymous tips as they used to. That is long gone. Moral of my comment is this, with this new wave of blogs and gossip sites, there’s no way that you will get back to the way it used to be and get your title reign back. You fell off, admit it, now re-strategize and let’s get the ball rolling again. Recreate your blog and brand, more contests, more cultural and historical facts. New blog design.

This post in itself is interesting. Concreteloop had more edge a few years back but IMHO has become sort of watered down. IDC about what people are wearing sorry not really news or entertaining to me. The design of the site was a bit odd from where it started also…I’m not too fond of animal print. I think it should be more neutral to attract a bigger reader audience or some may feel like this isn’t for me. Also the posts seemed to bleed into each other and didn’t stand out. Among the things I like is the music coverage, I’ve been exposed to great music I would not have heard of if it wasn’t for Loop! The selection is better also not too much pop. Headline news is always good. You actually communicate with your readers! You also choose to use proper grammar and meaningful posts, which may sound small but compared to some sites…. I agree quality not quantity.

All the way from the UK – I love this site. One of the best out there for what it does. Put me on to some of the hottest talent over the past few years. Couldn’t be without Concrete Loop. There’s so much crap out there. Looking forward to the update.

I have read your blog since 2007 and I always was impressed by how you did not descend into the fray of other ‘urban blogs’. There is something decidedly positive about what you do and how you do it. As a continuous follower of your blog for about 2 and 1/2 years I don’t feel as if the blog has “fallen off.” I am kept up to date with current media and fashion relevant to me. I love everything that you put forth. BUT!, the only thing I would like to see is more music updates. I appreciate everything you put forth and thank you and your SITE is amazing
Your perspective on popular black culture is one that is valued in the community and its a huge mistake to take a break. Whatever you need to iron out, do it quickly and get back to work.
