Exactly! B don’t turn down work …ever! Ain’t it crazy how politics sometimes spills into business. I’m starting to think that this is not just an election, it’s a lifestyle! As Mr. Eastwood, he made his bed, (y’all know the rest)…….

I disagree. I don’t think this has anything to do with Obama. After a year and a half a movie with no production date and financial backing is too risky to get involved with. Clint was banking on Beyonce’s name to get financial backing for the film and Beyonce was probably waiting on a contract. Besides remakes are usually not that impressive and are usually not huge blockbuster movies anyway.

I thought she was supposedly 31? Anyway, I wish her father had “pulled out”. Then we wouldn’t have to deal with this trick CONSTANTLY.

Maybe he could get Jordan Sparks she’s not that great of an actress, but probably a republican, Beyonce probably was not to crazy about the stupid chair thing his old azz did about President Obama, after that stupidity I would have pulled out too, she may not be the best actress but she does not have to settle for that stupidity he’s on.

You wouldn’t have pulled out of a damn thing lol…..negro please. Clint could get you to play the role for some Popeye’s chicken and a grape soda. Some of you black females are so silly.

Why would Beyonce make this man more money. Regardless if Clint Eastwood is a huge star or not, Beyonce was selected to be in the movie because she does have the power to attract a larger audience. The way he insulted President Obama I don’t blame her for pulling out, if that was a reason. You have to stand for something.

      @ GUAP

Some of these comments are so silly. What does this role have to do with the presidential election lol? Eastwood, as a staunch “Republican” obviously doesn’t see a problem casting an alleged “Democrat” in the lead role, so he’s clearly not threatened. Like black people are going to say, “Beyonce is in a Clint Eastwood film! I’ll never buy another Beyonce album again!!!” lol. I want to see what Eastwood says about why she’s no longer in the film. The caption says, “Good luck with that!” as if Beyonce is coming off of an Academy award. The only good acting I’ve seen from Beyonce is when she acts like she can act lol.

      @ DON’T EVEN START

I know you like grape soda, because you’re mad as hell about the comment lol.

If Beyonce had pulled a stunt like Clint Eastwood did I’m sure she would have gotten fired from a lot of roles. But Clint Eastwood makes a mockery of our first black President and we get angry at Beyonce for possibly supporting him, right lol.

Did she pull out or did they let her go? Either way, I doubt Old Man Eastwood is losing any sleep….nor should he because she is a horrible actress, if that is what you call her appearances on screen. It would be a dumb decision if this was based on politics. The Beyonce camp wants you to think that. The REAL truth is the studio (and Clint) want Tom Cruise involved and he saw the stupidity in having Beyonce in a movie next to him.

Exactly. Clint Eastwood is a major player in Hollywood. Major actors drop what they’re doing to be affiliated with his movies in some capacity.

I don’t think she pulled out. I mean, doesn’t she want that Oscar that she is always referring to in interviews?! lol Bey’s my girl but I don’t think she would “pull out” because of her and Mr. Eastwood’s so called political differences. I think she was not ready for such a role emotionally or maybe she just wants to focus on that new album that she is currently working on. Or, wait for it…she’s pregnant again!! lml

I don’t think she was dropped, as she was the first to be cast. Clint chose her personally and is on record saying he was ecstatic to be working with her. Say what you want about her acting abilities, but Bey can sell a movie as we saw from the numbers of that god awful Obsessed.

If this were about the election and Beyonce’s loyalty to the First Family, do you really think she’d wait until 6 weeks after Clint’s speech to back out?

Well if it were any sooner; that would be too obvious right. She is not trying to ruin her career; just make a statement I guess.

I figure it was all in the air in the first place and the studio decided not to go with Beyonce. There would have been a contract in place if she was contracted to star in the movie, backing out would be a breech. Notice, she made the statement not Clint or the Studio…

I guess Clint will be talking to another empty chair! lol Maybe he can get Bristol Palin or Kelly Clarkson to play “A Star Is Born”, because Beyonce is already one… She had to pull out before the election, or be connected to Clint for the next four years. If Obama is re-elected, watch her reconsider, but opt for more money.

She didn’t pull out due to their political differences; they were stalling hoping she would pull out. They have someone else in mind; and believe me there are many talented actresses out there other than Beyonce. We’re talking about a young lady who read her own letter on television to the first lady like she was ten. C’mon now.

    Judah is Pathetic

@ JUDAH, You know, Judah, for someone who has so much disdain for black women, you sure do frequent a blog created by a black woman. You try to act as if you’re so intelligent and above everyone here but yet, it seems you spend all your time on this blog. Angel should be paying you as much input as you have. You’re either a white man portraying yourself as a black man or a white woman. I refuse to believe that you’re actually black the way you come on here and always try to shit on black women. If I was Angel I would have your IP address blocked. Then again you might go crazy and kill yourself since this blog seems to be your whole life. You may just have a small penis and try to compensate for it by the big talking you do on here. Loser.

Clint is not concerned with Beyonce not being in his movie, he has several under his belt that were Oscar nominated or winners. Beyonce was lucky to be mentioned along side Clint, no matter what his political views are his work is impressive enough and maybe Beyonce wasnt. This is the same chick who claimed writing “Emotions” by the Bee Gees.

It’s funny, after the RNC I joked that the black community would be coming for Beyonce to back out of this film. I surely hope she is doing this for business reasons, and not political ones. It’s foolish to let ones political taste affect his/her professional life, unless a particular action or event is in deep contract with political convictions. I don’t see how allowing a republican director of your film when you are an entertainer/actress, would fall into the latter. With that being said, this movie has been remade so many times as well as similar films, it shouldn’t be made in the first place. Beyonce would benefit from a film, helmed by a great director like Clint, and I say that as a fan. She needs to sway from entertainer/singer roles if she wants to be considered a serious actress. She’s been decent in her movies thus far, but nothing mind blowing.

I respect Beyonce decision. We should all be like that when we are using our talents, or spending our money. If they do not represent who we are, why make them richer. She can create her own movies, and there will be more movie offers.

Anyone who thinks she did it out of support for Obama should then ask themselves why she didn’t say that and why she said she would love to work with Clint in the future. If that’s the case her statement that was released would make her a liar and a coward.
