FIrst year I didn’t vote either. I live in a blue state so Obama was going to win our electoral votes anyway. No sense waiting in line when I could be working for time and a half. Plus Chicago is known historically for it’s rigging.

I see people starting businesses, going to college (and working to pay their way thru), holding down two jobs…whatever they have to do and not expecting anyone to “make it all better”.

I don’t see any new America. The demarcations are still mostly racial. There’s some mixture in the lower strata amongst the masses, but for the most part, people stay within their own race. Much of middle and southern America believe and adhere to the same things that they always have. No, the Roman Empire fell because it was doing the same thing that is occurring in America and Europe today, inflation, legalization of h0m0sexuality, too many wars, etc. On a foreign policy level, the empire became over-run and eventually dominated by black people, who are called “barbarians” in the history books. Yes I do live in NYC. I’m fine. Most of the people affected by the storm lived along beach-front property. Most of the people within the city were not affected. The infrastructure of certain parts of the city were flooded such as lower Manhattan, Staten Island, and Far Rockaway. There was a shutdown of mass transit, inter-borough highways, and electricity, but most of the damage was localized.
