NICK…i was going to respond to the previous post that to me makes no sense. However, I’ll be respectful for ones opinion. I’m riding with you and your comment. The entire time I was holding my breath thinking about Whitney and how I immediately felt the similarities. Totally different but I immediately love the subliminal homage she’s paying to her. I know that was her and the directors intentions. Now, I loss my breath when the song reached it’s peak and she snatched the wig off. I guess if you ever, and most of us have….lived and performed to some ones else expectations….you can feel the power in this song. Alicia hands down….awesome record that can touch a persons life. after listening, my mood changed and I’m inspired to just be me. As bad ass as that may be….it’s just a brand new side of me.

I love this song so much because it relates to my current situation. Alicia Keys is a great musician…I don’t think anyone can deny that. I think a lot of the judgment come from her personal life and what did and/or didn’t happen. I don’t care about all that. What matters most to me is good music because there is a lot of stuff being put out I would rather not hear.
