Beyonce is gearing up for her big Super Bowl performance this weekend, but she also has a new HBO documentary that is slated to premiere in mid-February that has been getting a lot of promotion.
In the documentary, the singer candidly spoke about her miscarriage two years ago and how it was one of the saddest things she has ever been through.
About two years ago, I was pregnant for the first time. And I heard the heartbeat, which was the most beautiful music I ever heard in my life. I picked out names. I envisioned what my child would look like. I was feeling very maternal. I flew back to New York to get my check up — and no heartbeat. Literally the week before I went to the doctor, everything was fine, but there was no heartbeat.
ON HOW SHE DEALT WITH THE LOSS
“I went into the studio and wrote the saddest song I’ve ever written in my life,” she says, though she never indicates which song it is, specifically. “And it was actually the first song I wrote for my album. And it was the best form of therapy for me, because it was the saddest thing I’ve ever been through. [ SOURCE ]
Last year, Jay-Z briefly spoke about the loss in his song “Glory,” which was recorded for the birth of their now 1 year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

I’ll never understand why people believe she wasn’t pregnant with her daughter. All they have to do is search for pics of her online. Everything from her fuller face, swollen ankles, weight gain, and bare bellied pics prove she was.

A miscarriage is a very serious and devastating event to happen to a couple and is especially hard on the mother. It is very brave for her to share that with the world as so many other couples are going through the same thing.
