You may not know her name but you’ve definitely seen her face and heard her voice. Some know of her as the girl in Chris Brown’s “She Ain’t You” video, but now Sevyn Streeter is staking her own claim and taking a stab at solo artistry.
Definitely not new to the business, Sevyn inked her first record deal with Interscope Records with the teen girl group, TG4 at the age of 15. When that didn’t work, she grew up a bit and in 2007, RichGirl was formed with the help of Rich Harrison. They had some minor success with the single “He Ain’t wit Me Now (Tho)” but the group ended up disbanding in 2011.
Since then, Sevyn has left her mark on several songs with features and popping up in music videos. She is also an accomplished writer, penning tracks for some your favorite heavyweights and offering her vocal chops on big records.
Recently inking a deal with Chris Brown Entertainment via Atlantic Records, she is now focused on recording her debut album. Her first offering as a solo artist is the single, “I Like It,” a big-sound anthem about the ups and downs of a relationship.
