After debuting her River Island collaborated clothing line at London’s Fashion Week, Rihanna is making yet another business move! To mark her 25th birthday, the Bajan singer has announced that she is teaming up with MAC as the creative director of her new cosmetic collection line, RiRi [Hearts] Mac.
The first product set she’ll be launching is RiRi Woo, a red lipstick inspired by MAC’s Ruby Woo color. In conjunction with her Diamonds Tour, MAC will set up a pop-up shop where fans can buy the singer’s new product on May 4th and 5th at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York or online.
In an interview with Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), the singer happily described her new makeup line:
“When you think of makeup, the brand that pops into your mind — for something legit — is MAC. Whatever color you want, it’s like ‘Let’s go to MAC.’ I’ve been using MAC on tour for such a long time it was a natural fit for me. I have always loved makeup, and I always said that if I do it, I want to do it with a credible brand.
The second collection – which includes two new lipsticks, a Lustrous Drop eyeshadow and a powder blush duo – will drop in the summer. The third set, which drops in the fall, will include four lipsticks, a deeply pigmented Lip-glass version of RiRi Woo, two multi-shade eye shadow palettes and false lashes. The last set will debut just in time for the holidays.
