In honor of Rosa Parks, the U.S. Postal Service released a commemorative forever stamp with her image. The stamps officially went on sale today, February 4th and you can even purchase them online.
Parks is credited with sparking the Montgomery bus boycott in 1955 by refusing to give up her seat to a white man. A 1950′s photograph of her served as a basis for the Forever Stamp which was illustrated by stamp artist Thomas Blackshear II.
