This video is so mundane and just plain stupid. She looks like a dirty, depressed bull. She’s not exotic or attractive like her delusional stans make her out to be. Without all the weave, makeup, contouring, false eyelashes, and Photoshop she looks like any ol black chick with a 5 head. She stays naked in music videos even when she’s trying to be serious because it distracts from her bad singing.

Hands down, this video speaks volume even on mute. So powerful the way she expressed the need for ________. You can fill in the blanks and relate to this song. I know a lot of people talk mad shit about her talent etc however, i recently read an article on her mentioning how she wants to make music that means something to her fans. ( she also said, every record isnt meant to do just that) but as an artist, she understands the type of connection that needs to be made. Thumbs up on creativity, awesome grammy performance and overall, timeless video. A win all day!!
I did not listen to the song I muted it and just watched the video.I know this video has a deep symbolic meaning and the people behind it knows exactly what they are doing.Throughout all Rihanna’s rebellion ,smoking,acting out on stage ,or whatever no one knows her pain.I don’t care how much money she has this girl and most celebrities don’t even see most the money they earn.I guess that is irrelevant because we should know by now money doesn’t keep you happy.I believe Rihanna is fighting so many demons ,spiritually and literally I would not want to live her life.She is a slave and her life is not her own I firmly believe this child of god is involved in the most sinister of activities but not by choice.Those tears are real and she wants out but they won’t let her .

Not a Rihanna fan by a long shot but imho this is the best song and video that she has ever had. And her performance at the Grammys was also her best. Simple and poignant.
I liked when she preformed this song at the Grammy’s. My wish is that this was just sung by one person. The guy is annoying. Also, the whole bathtub thing has been done so much in Music Videos. Britney Spears, Ashanti, the list goes on. It would have been cool if they came up with a stronger concept. Rihanna seems to celebrate her weakness which can appear “honest” but the message it sends to her female fans about tolerating an abusive relationship for “love” is much more complicated.
