It looks like the main casting for the upcoming VH1 biopic on girl group TLC has been completed. Actress-singer Drew Sidora has been chosen to play singer Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins in the upcoming made for TV movie.
Earlier this week, Drew posted a photo of her trying on wigs via her twitter account. She has also be re-tweeting all her messages of congratulations, etc.
While I agree with Lil Mama as Left Eye and Keke Palmer as Chilli, I’m not too sure about Drew. Hope she gets into character and get T-Boz’s hair down right. As a former TLC stan, I’m excited to see how this movie will turn out.
Filming begins next month in Atlanta..
She’s a good likeness, can’t wait to see the movie.
Just so you know. You don’t have to resemble a person to play them. A good actor can disappear in the role and look nothing like the person they are portraying.

I think they should have done a casting call for this movie.Not that their not beautiful women,but none of the ladies fit TLC to me.
Drew Sidora is not HORRIBLE, but I just feel like there is a better option for Tboz.
Who are these people???? LOL T-BOZ is a main character….in fact the HEART of the group. Such a role should go to a real actress. But then again this is a TLC movie. LOL Maybe Drew Sidora can break out. We’ll see. I personally would have picked Zoe Kravitz. I think Zoe would have killed that role.

If Im not mistaken on TBoz reality show, she stated that they wanted actresses to portray them would be unknown.

Well, regardless of whether or not the people chosen for these roles have a resemblance , We do know for a fact that Keke and Drew are very good actors (Akeelah and the Bee and The Game…………need I say more). I’m just on the fence about Lil Mama, and it has nothing to do with the fact that she’s portraying Left-Eye but that I haven’t seen her really act. I’ve seen her judge ABDC for all those years, and if that’s any indication then she may just do good with this. I think it’s a bigger risk than with Keke and Drew. Besides, I highly doubt we were making these unnecessary comparisons when it came to the ones about Tina Turner. Little Richard, The Jackson 5, and The Temptations. It’s my understanding that resemblances in biopics are tangible but not mandatory.
Well for one we didn’t know what the jacksons looked like grown up if ur bor in the 80s era or tina turner but if they had a social network to expresour view ppl prob would’ve said some things…however let a usher or Beyonce movie come out we would do the very sam on social media…compare and contrast! Because thats who we grew up with.
