Jennifer Hudson performed at the 85th Annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday February 24 in Hollywood, California. To highlight her 2007 win for “Best Supporting Actress” for her musical role in Dreamgirls, the 31 year-old singer hit the stage to sing the Jennifer Holiday original, “And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.”
Dressed in a silver gown, wearing Sutra earrings and $1.5 Million worth of Norman Silverman diamond bracelets, the star received a standing ovation from the crowd and even had veteran Jack Nicholson amazed by her vocal talent. Be sure to check some pics of her from backstage, too! J.Hud’s performance starts at the 2:14 mark!

Jennifer Hudson is such an impressive singer and actress. I rather listen and watch Jennifer than Beyonce any day of the week. Jennifer is also a class act in her personal life. I like what she stands for. And she very attractive and beyond that REAL.
I’m not a fan of either but was it necessary for you to bring up Beyonce? Even with an Oscar and an amazing voice, she still can’t beat out Beyonce, why must we compare? BTW, neither are great singers. Beyonce has a pretty voice and no range and J.Hud has range and an ugly voice. Back to what I was originally saying, it’s like people are constantly on the hunt for someone better than Beyonce… Leave her be…
All I wanna know is who’s bright idea was it to have Jennifer perform that song before someone else? She tore the roof off with that song, anything after that was irrelevant.
She did. She had those white people looking silly singing that hill billy sh–. I was mad for them.
I could never listen to this girl sing this without crying! God has really blessed her
this was horrible i don’t know what yall listening too but she dont have the voice sorry
