Spanish Harlem boy wonder Bodega Bamz, is the part Dominican and Puerto Rican emcee whose mission is to bring Hip-hop glory back to the concrete jungle. Doing away with the candy-coated, clean cut persona that so many of today’s mainstream acts call for, Bodega Bamz is a sancocho (or gumbo) of a rapper; fusing his Latino swagger and Uptown twang, the rough-around-the-edges P.A.P.I.s (proud and powerful individuals) authority runs with the likes of A$AP Rocky and his Mob, Joey and the Pro Era, the Flatbush Zombies and the Underachievers.
Albeit Bodega Bamz lacks the blog buzz that the aforementioned associates have, he certainly possesses the raw talent and knockout songs to stake his claim in the game. Get a load of “Say Amen,” the much anticipated third visual from Bodega Bamz’ Strictly For My P.A.P.I.Z. EP. Featuring the contentious ASAP Ferg (who plays the “trap lord”), “Say Amen” sets place in a parody of the Catholic church and serves as an interesting story of repentance.

This dude is a sodomite lmao. “Papi” is what a female calls a man.
Hey there Judah! Thanks for visiting the site =) I wanted to share with you that in the Latino culture, the term “Papi” is equally used amongst men as a term of respect or endearment. Funny right? But so true.
Oh really? Well maybe it’s different where you’re from lmao.
hmmm… yea. that’s what i just said =)
Hmmm…..no. I meant that the hispanics must be different where you’re from lol. Every so-called “hispanic” dude and female that I ever grew up with said something different from what you’re stating, but it is what it is. From what I was familiar with, dudes call each other “papa”, not “papi”. That’s some confusion amongst ya’ll I guess, or more likely you’re covering for this dude on some tribalism lol. Either way (for those who pay attention) the video is not only trying to mock the Most High, he’s also mocking that Catholic church he thinks can save him. He’s praying to an entity called the “Trap Lord”, not the Lord of the Bible. This song is not about “repentance”, this is his attempt at an inroads into the entertainment industry. All new incoming artists must make a public display of their disdain for God.
dope track
lol. nice judah.
This is DOPE Marj!
