Earlier this month, BET spotlighted some new independent artists for their Music Matters showcase at New York City’s SOBs.
CL’s Artist to Watch feature Travis Garland, captivated the crowd with his smooth performance of songs from his independent compilations like, “Where to Land,” “Home Wrecker” and “Abbey Lee.”
Peep his dope cover of D’Angelo’s 2000 chart-climbing single, “Untitled (How Does It Feel).” You’ll find more pictures from Travis’s show in the gallery down below. Alright Travis, we see you!

Been loving everything by Travis, this dude is about to be huge!
The truth!
Never heard of this Travis dude until today and I’m liking what I’m hearing! Being that Face The King is an alternative arena rock band, this kind of style isn’t my preference. However I can totally vibe with this. Adding him to my playlist now!
his song is actually homewrecker and not hope wrecker
the song is actually titled homewrecker.
This isn’t Homewrecker…
It’s so great to have Travis back… Unfortunately real music doesn’t seem to fit into the industry anymore…
If he does become big again, I’m afraid that the industry’s going to change him and his music, so… I’d rather have things stay like this. We’re here to support him! He doesn’t need the whole world to hear him out!
damn! CORRECTION please! it’s HOMEWRECKER and not HOPE WRECKER.
anyway, thanks for featuring Travis.
his time has come. I have been following him since before he was in a boy band. its about damned time. with his vocal performance on song like DON’T LEAVE ME ROSE, ABBY LEE, ADAM, WHERE TO LAND, and SOMEWHERE IN ITALY. He has made his mark as a vocalist. He and JOJO are highly underrated.
omg! horrible boo boo! that is such a disrespect to a natural true artist who actually did the song beyond measures and now this wannabe “robin thicke” is destroying a real authentic artist song are you serious he need take several seats before he can even try to reach d’angelo’s level i am just saying…
