Check out the latest material from 14-year-old rapper/actor, Jaden Smith. The young star, who is slated to appear in this year’s M. Night Shyamalan science fiction film, After Earth alongside his superstar father Will Smith, is still taking his musical career as serious as his acting one. Here is “MSFTS Anthem 2,” a follow up the track of the same name on his first mixtape, The Cool Cafe, released last year.

This crap reminds me of the same fake hype they tried to create with Diggy. speaking of Diggy….where is he these days ? Jaden should stick to following his father in Hollywood because Music is not for him.
Diggy gave well beyond the generic norm for Unexpected Arrival. Ideally, he has plenty of years to attempt another success. He may wait long enough to realize he’s too smart for the industry. Some of the most intelligent rappers dumb themselves down because the industry doesn’t know how to market an educated black man to the young black demographic that generally doesn’t aspire to build and act on the knowledge that will advance African Americans in society.
Diggy F-L-O-P-E-D!
Diggy did not even go WOOD his first week out. Diggy had huge promotions and tons of Ghost Writers (just like Jaden) and he still went nowhere. People are not as stupid as these record execs think. Diggy had ads out and products endorsements BEFORE his CD even dropped. And stop with this nonsense that Diggy Simmons is some “intellectual” rapper. LMAO That would be Kendrick Lamar or J. Cole. Diggy has not even graduated from High School yet and I don’t think he’ll be attending Harvard or Princeton any time soon. As far as marketing? Are you serious? Diggy had the best in the business working on him and promoting him(not to mention his Father) this is not some independent artist who just has no support. Diggy had the best support money could buy he just lacked one important thing….. Authenticity.
I said he’s a smart kid, not an intellectual rapper. Still, the album is above average in terms of style and sound. As far as marketing, I never said he received none; just that it didn’t impact the audience it intended to for reasons I already stated. And it’s not unheard of for artists to have others write for them – it doesn’t necessarily make the rapper or singer unauthentic. If authenticity in its truest form were necessary for attaining success, many of Diggy’s popular contemporaries wouldn’t have achieved the status they have.
I’ve always wondered if there arent Hollywood kids who aspire to be teachers, or police officers, or scientists, or authors…?
say that!
He’s too fucking cute. Sh*t.
OMG!!!! This child singing about he’s single, In the club:( You are only 14 yrs old! My goodness! He’s gotten so grown I bet he can’t stand to smell himself:( I prefer to here his dad instead of this mess!
He has not gotten “grown” he just has older GHOST writers. All Jaden has to do is act like he’s a rapper. He does not have the experience to pull off any of those Empty phrases. Again….Jaden lacks authenticity.
Just wondering why the Smith family doesn’t teach their kids about the other means of working in Hollywood where they could make much more money behind the scenes, instead of always being front and center. These kids come off as more of the intellectual types oppose to shuckin and jivin doing the Hollywood shuffle. They are already blessed to have such an opportunity, that I wonder why they don’t venture into another more profitable and creative avenue.
gotta fine girl named dominique !! lol this song has swag
