Big Poppa Lives On!

It’s been 16 years since we lost the one and only Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace, but he’s still being utilized as inspiration today in music, films and the written word.

Earlier this month, it was announced via the Ossian Media PRESS RELEASE that Big’s spirit will continue to live on through a new animated series titled House of Wallace.

His children T’yanna and CJ Wallace will star in the cartoon series and the show will follow them as they attempt to keep his studio in Bedford-Stuyvesant / Brooklyn alive, despite numerous trials and tribulations. The siblings said this is a press release:

It’s been 16 years since our Dad was murdered and we miss him dearly.. It is such an honor for us to be able to carry on his legacy, not only through his music but also by channeling him through our own creativity. This project, “House Of Wallace” is a great opportunity for us to bridge the gap between our parents who loved his music and the kids and young adults our ages, that were not around to really appreciate it.

It has been said before that Big built his own studio to keep creative control once his musical career began to burgeon. The folk tale now serves as the muse for both the name of the cartoon and its central storytelling backdrop.

We’re interested to see the project’s final product. Stay tuned!
