Agreed, at least Keyshia has managed to establish a career and a following as a solo artist…the same can not be said for Kelly. Minus her groupmates…we all know which one in particular…her “solo career” has never made it off the ground and been running on fumes for years. If you can only claim a sense of importance or superiority when associated with others, what do you really have? I would have simply replied that it did not merit a response…that’s a classier way of showing that you are really “above it.”

Off jump it’s hard to establish urself as a solo artists after being a former group member. Beyonce was the lead so it was easier. She was introduced to the world as a second lead singer so of course she would struggle as a solo artist. First impression is everything . I’m sorry to tell u but regardless of sales Kelly is known WORLDWIDE and highly marketable. First album sold over 2 mil worldwide. (Not keyshia). And I’m sure she got some major bank in her account. So as far as I can see. She winning!!! And I honestly believe if Kelly was never in DC and came out solo and was straight R & B there is no doubt that she would be ahead of the game!

Kelly is NOT winning. Rihanna is winning not Kelly. KC has done far better over the long haul and it has been based off HER singing not Beyonce`s star power. Kelly is not in the position to throw darts at anyone. Even Ci-Error has done a better job as a solo artist than Kelly. Kelly would flop harder if Beyonce was never involved with Kelly. Kelly would be like Dawn Lewis……blowing in the Breeze. Even Cassie would kill her. Kelly should just say no comment and keep it classy.

Yeah…u must not have heard Kelly sing before. So again Kelly would have been fine if she originally came out solo. Trust!!! And Kelly is winning because regardless of album sales she still has a career. She if Kelly never sung another day in her life she still would be more relevant that Keyshia and we all know it. She’s done some acting, she’s been the feature artist on tracks worldwide hits (ie. when love takes over), she’s hosted national shows both in the states and overseas, she can sell records worldwide (she done it already), she has major endorsements (Rolex). Like come on bro. Just cuz Keyshia has a “solid” fanbase in the RnB world doesnt mean she’s winning cuz judging by her album sales she is not. Check out Keyshia’s sales over the years via her wiki page every project was worse that the one before. Plus what else can Keyshia do??? As much as i used to like Keyshia, she is not marketable and that it the main thing you need in this biz. The music biz in 2013 is about being a business man or woman and expanding outside of just music and definitely outside of RnB. Furthermore majority wins and judging by the comments on here and twitter, most ppl agree with Kelly…soo her point is proven…end of discussion….so yea…try again…and if you respond trust i will be able to back myself up even further. no biggie (lol at the Cassie comment…she only has one relevant song foo!!!)

All those opportunities you speak of are because of BEYONCE not Kelly. And to say a singers career and viability has nothing to do with sales is insane. Kelly is not some independent singer who makes great music but does not sell that much. Kelly has been dropped by labels and flopped not only here but also abroad. And yes today many people try to sell outside of Music but we all know why Kelly can do that..again….Beyonce. The same goes for Michelle. KC can speak her mind these people are not GODS and Nuclear stinks as a song. Beyonce only used DC for a few seconds and dismissed them just as quickly she got them on stage to background sing some of her solo songs. Kelly could not sell more than Cassie if Beyonce never discovered her was my point and you got it the first time. KC is bigger and more established because she came out as a solo artist that caught Kanye West`s attention. Kelly is just a background singer for King Bey.

You seem to forget the reason. Why Kelly can signal multi million dollar contract ti list the euro version of x factors is because she is a commodity over there, more then likely because over here there are a myriad of disposable songstress inspired by the template from the band she started out with in the first place.
If KC is supposedly better why has her career floundered as quickly as it has. Period point blank you seems to forget that destinys child was so successful that their legacy allowed for them to never even have solo records and still remain pop culture figures. Kelly is doing well because of KING BEY. The end. KC did better than Kelly has done as a SOLO ARTIST. DC has done well but let’s look at that…what DC songs have done well that Kelly did lead on? Answer…NONE. DC was just a tool to launch BEY. Michelle and Kelly are side notes and when you look a them…they could NEVER accomplish what KC has done as a solo artist if it were NOT for the KING. So all this Kelly is winning stuff is just a by product of her relationship with the King. KC has done well as a solo artist who made it in this business based off her VOICE and TALENT. Kelly can’t match that on her own. KC’s tweet was about Michelle messing things up at the Super Bowl and she was not far off on that (if she really sent that Tweet which she denies). Kelly should have just kept it moving.

I disagree. Keyshia started it so Kelly has ever right to defend her band mate. Kelly is the bigger entertainer. Kelly has a wide fan base and is a global artist with enorsements. Whereas Keyshia just captivates a declining R&B audience domestically and has no endorsements. I think you said Kelly would not be where she is today without Beyonce. That also is incorrect. The one that really helped her was her former manager, Matthew Knowles. Similary, the one that helped Keyshia get to where she is today was her former manager, the one that got her the reality show. Keyshia does not even have a grammy. Kelly has 5 (3 from DC and 2 as a solo artist).

Kelly has not proven herself like K. Cole has as a solo artist. All Kelly can claim is riding on Bey`s fame. Kelly did not even have to respond because the initial comments were not even about her. Beyonce will never respond to any kind of static no matter how she may feel about it because there’s so many negative rumors surrounding her because of her status that if she responds to one she’ll have to keep responding to all. I was thinking the exact same thing. Regardless of how anyone feels about DC’s image or whatever, Michelle is a part of that group, Kelly and Beyonce and Solange love her like family (obviously, or she wouldn’t even be at the Super Bowl………) and even though she didn’t respond to Keyshia, best believe Bey or Kelly will. They will stand up for their homie.

actually beyonce,kelly,letoya and latavia made destinys child what it is today. Kelly does go hard in the paint especially these last 2 years, but keyshia does too and to her credit she does have excellent songwriting skills. Neither of the women including beyonce is Whitney, Mariah, Patti, Minnie, Phyllis, Anita, Sade or even Donna so why are yall going back in forth of B rate singers in the 1st place?
