Rapper of the year Kendrick Lamar and New Orleans femcee 3D Na’Tee graced the mic at Sway in the Morning, in a SXSW exclusive. As expected, Kendrick murked a verse straight off the dome, waiting no later than a split second after the beat drops.
After the Good Kid, M.A.A.D City rapper was done spewing a few relentless bars, 3D Na’Tee grabbed the mic and, to my surprise, did the damn thing. From quoting Lauryn Hill to suggesting that Rick Ross is a ‘larger’ than Chris Brown man, 3D Na’Tee caught me off guard. But the Louisiana native spat ether when she threw Nicki Minaj under the bus for wearing a pink wig and a fake chest, denoting the YMCMB rapper’s lack of authenticity. She even went off on Drake for being a Degrassi kid. Yikes.
It’s just not logical that I don’t have a deal yet / I guess it’s cause I ain’t got a pink wig and I still got my real breasts / And I ain’t get ass shots or get tossed through the posse or play a part on Degrassi for the major labels to spot me
Yo. I’d be lying if I said 3D Na’tee didn’t peak my interest. Peep the video.

yeah she was good….but KIm been exposed Nicki and the whole YMCMB years ago. that was funny when she shut Sway down about the ‘backstage pass’. LOL
really tho? IF U HOT, PUT OUT SOMETHING & let the music do the talking/I am from Louisiana & would love to see u make it babe, BUT HATING ON others is NOT the way to go boo boo….NEXT!
HIp Hop is a confrontational genre of music, and always has been. 50 Cent got his name out by making a song called “How To Rob” where he talked about sticking up all the big names in the rap industry at the time. There is plenty of precedence for unsigned artists calling out established artists. All that being said, this woman is a frustrated whore. She hasn’t gotten a chance to perform fellatio on the right penis that can break down doors for her, and she’s upset because Nicki Minaj is a whore that has. That little part of her rhyme where she spoke about everyone in the industry being a thug should’ve been directed at this guy Kendrick Lamar, if it wasn’t lol.
I’m on the fence about your thoughts towards female rappers making it in the game, can;t say that’s true for every female in the game, and it;’s a disgusting way of thinking if ya ask me. But what’s the deal with Kendrick??? WHEN has Kendrick ever tried to fake thug??? (No seriously, this deserves a discussion, you got me all kinds of confused).
based on your comment you have proved you know nothing about 3d na’tee nor kendrick lamar
This is a fascinating discussion, and worthy of its own thread. Kinda reminds of how I felt after hearing a morning talk show host state “women dress for other women”… but anyways, now that I think about it, beef is a good way to get noticed, but its not a necessarily great way, and certainly not the only way. Yes, Rap music is the angry bird offshoot from the Mother Goose that is Hip Hop & R&B, but there are so many other platforms artists can choose from to elevate their brand. Too many to count, but lets just throw out Instagram. For example, sway is sway, so why the need for pushed up breasts, a typically-styled weave…I would bet she’s worn that outfit to the club, which is not an inherently bad thing, but it smells a little like a few other starlets we’ve seen and heard from, and who, more notably, have come and go. They confuse style with substance. So besides the fake hair and the ill-conceived-bustier-look, her rap was just o-k, I liked the melody, but then again, there are infinite ways and styles for one to rap in, and hers was just aaaaaaaaight. I’m all for the femcee movement, but like the posters noted, these aren’t real revolutions, just a chick talking ish sitting next to Kendrick!
How can you not even have a deal, and introduce yourself by dissing several people who do??? Good luck girl…BYE. Probably the first, and last time we see you on here…or anywhere.
I thought she was fire! Both freestyles were very good in my opinion and I agree with a lot of what she said. I don’t like Minaj at all. She’s a gimmick and she’s fake. Most of rap and hip-hop today is totally contrived and greed driven. Once they make it they start talking smack about black women and start rapping about clothes and cars, etc. That’s not the music I grew up on and I’m happy that someone is coming out that’s in opposition of what others consider trendy or popular. I hope she really makes it and retains as much as her identity as possible.
Natee been had bars the world is about 5 years late! What’s holdin her is her bad business mind and team of “Yesmaams”.
For the people that dont know anything about 3D Na’tee many of you need to actually research her She has recieved deals from various labels and have turned them down , I would suggest many of you to check out her whole body of work lyrically this girl is the beast and FYI before nicki became a mainstream artist she took MANY disses at her predecessors and even stole their styles, therefore getting mad at 3dnatee make no damn sense
I like opposition and mc’s who challenge each other….you can definitely separate real talent from non-talented ones…give the girl a chance.
