Didn’t get a chance to see Rihanna live during her 777 tour? No worries. The Barbados songstress is set to take all her fans around the world in a one-hour documentary that chronicles her journey to seven countries in seven days to promote her seventh studio LP.
Slated for a Fox channel debut, the short film Rihanna 777, broadcasts May 6, 2013 (8 PM ET/PT).
The 777 tour, which consisted of the diva visting Mexico City, Toronto, Stockholm, Paris, Berlin, London and New York, proves to have been a triumphant effort to promote her latest album Unapologetic.
Rihanna’s album debuted at No.1 on Billboard’s album chart, with the single “Diamonds” hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 the day after the 777 tour concluded. Then again, when you’re Rihanna, even the slightest effort is bounds for top-charting success.
The exclusive short doc explores intimate behind-the-scenes events (and chaos) as well as Rihanna’s onstage appearances. Tune in this May for all of the talked-about rambunctiousness.
