TWITTER LOOP: BRANDON T. JACKSON FILMS “BEVERLY HILLS COP” T.V. PILOT w/ EDDIE MURPHY

March 19th, 2013

Actor-comedian Brandon T. Jackson tweeted a photo Monday night on the set of the new television spinoff of ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ in Los Angeles. He was pictured with actor-comedian Eddie Murphy, who starred in the hit franchise in the 80s and 90s.

According to Yahoo:

The pilot centers around the wisecracking cop’s son, Aaron (Brandon T. Jackson), who goes from chasing bad guys in Detroit to solving crimes in Beverly Hills. Murphy, who is an executive producer of the project, will guest star in the pilot and possibly make further appearances if the series gets picked up.

It’s near retirement time for Eddie Murphy. “Beverly Hills Cop” came out damn near 30 years ago. If he’s still trying to rehash that, that means that he either has no more ideas, or the jewish executives he reports to are not willing to greenlight any of his new ideas. Brandon T. Jackson seems to be the chosen buffoon for the new generation. He also played Martin Lawrence’s son in that last “Big Mama” debacle. I guess next he’s gonna be “Prince Akeem Jr.” in “Coming To America” part 2 lol.

I had wondered about the status of the taping. Brandon has the personality and talent to make it work, and I became a fan of Eddie again after his part in Tower Heist. I think it will all come down to the quality of the writing and production.

I will always have respect for Eddie Murphy… He is still relevant…point blank period. But from this pic,it looks like Johnny Gill and Brandon are gonna have a fight in the future. LOL
