After creating Twitter havoc over Beyonce’s latest single “Bow Down/Been On, “Keyshia Cole took her impassioned sentiments over to the Jimmy Kimmel stage, late Monday night.
If you caught the 11:30 live broadcast, you might have been disappointed for having waited on such a lackluster performance. We were prepared for something much more stirring and full of umph, as Miss Cole’s past resume boasts. But the truth is, she began rather timid and exuded a string of struggle notes. Darn. Was the day’s Twitter rant still echoing in her head?

First off. Beyonce is not the BEST by any mean. Rihanna has more actual HITS than Beyonce does and she is 100% more authentic. And sorry to say but Beyonce is a one trick pony. Keyshia can state her VIEWS just like you can state yours. Beyonce is making a HUGE misstep with that current song she released. 4 was a commercial FLOP and this single will be as well. Beyonce is a MOTHER and to release such a boastful and misogynistic song is 100%….unnecessary and inappropriate. People can say what they want about the song and Beyonce insecurities of which she has MANY. How is Beyonce talking about the unity of women and how there is nothing like a conversation with another woman and release a song like “Bow Down Bitches?” It’s Beyonce who is always on a quest to stay relevant. Keyshia is about her MUSIC. Keyshia is not the invention or mouthpiece of misogynistic males. Keyshia build up women with her music. It’s clear this song was written for Beyonce and she just can’t sell it. Keyshia can state her views just like CL can and YOU. Respect the game.

That performance actually wasn’t as bad as i thought it was going to be based on the comments. She is actually talented, but I think her personality has turned people away for many years. Music is supposed to express different feelings and I think Beyonce was expressing herserlf. KC didn’t have to take it upon herself to comment, but, at the same time she has a right to her opinion and to express them. But she can’t be surprised if some in the industry turn their nose up at her in the future. Hate her or love her Beyonce has been a star since 1993/1994. And is still relevant.
I heard Keyshia sing this song love and she killed it. Something is not right with Keyshia she’s going through something and this was not a good performance.
I’ve actually seen Keyshia Cole twice, when she first a came out with her first record, and last year at the Essence, and she sounded real good. I have alot of empathy for Keyshia Cole, because look at her upbringing, and things she has gone through. None of us are exempt from our past, but hopefully we can all get better, and Keyshia Cole is human and no different.
