March 9th, marks the 16th year anniversary of the death of rapper Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. The 24 year-old was brutally gunned down in Los Angeles, while in the city on a promotional tour for his sophomore album, Life After Death. Since his death, his legacy has grown and he is still a relevant voice and image in hip-hop / rap culture.
While searching youtube for some Biggie interviews, I came across one that I’ve never seen before. Shot in 1995 on the set of the video for his song, “Warning,” the interview features a laid back Biggie talking about his debut album, favorite song and he even showed off a photo of his daughter. If you’re a Biggie fan, you will definitely like this one. Also look out for some footage of a young Diddy too.
Below is a gallery of photos from Biggie’s funeral, held in Brooklyn, NYC on March 18th, 1997. You can see some photos of Lil Kim, Mary J. Blige and thousands of fans who came out to say goodbye. Definitely some throwback photos in there.
