Kevin Hart learned long ago to laugh at his pain, but the comedic sensation wasn’t exactly thrilled about getting pulled over and arrested on suspicion of DUI on Sunday morning (April 14).
Reports suggest that traffic cops stopped Hart in California after he was caught speeding and driving erratically in a black Mercedes, on the freeway just after 4 AM local time.
Hart reportedly spent six hours in jail, where he says he kept busy by doing “6,000 push ups and 13,000 sit ups,” before he was let go. The 32 year-old Philly native took to Twitter to expound on his confrontation with the law, admitting:
This is a wake up call for me, I have to be smarter & last night I wasn’t….everything happens for a reason….
As Kevin Hart once said, “You gonna learn today!” From the looks of it, he learned that day. On a lighter note, the comedian will be making an appearance in the upcoming comedic film, This is the End and starring in a new humorous film next year, Ride Along, which will also star Ice Cube and Tika Sumpter.
