Just yesterday, “Gangsta’s Paradise” rapper Coolio was spotted in L.A. filming for a new endeavor, wearing a rather uncanny coiffure (April 10).
The OG took to Twitter to announce his forthcoming liquor commercial:
I’m in Hollyhood, just finished Mikes Hard Lemonade commercial, meet me at Taco Tuesday Cabo Cantina in Hollywood! SHAKA ZULU!
— Coolio (@coolio) April 10, 2013
Coolio must still be thumbing through checks, though, as his Twitter account mentions ongoing live performances in various parts of the world. Plus, the much acclaimed single “Gangsta’s Paradise” was snagged to be a part of the movie soundtrack for this year’s PAIN & GAIN, starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Although the old school award-winning rapper is not on the prominent scene as he was in his heydays, Coolio starred in a truly independent film that played in Fort Lauderdale, Fl and selective festivals. Two Hundred Thousand Dirty chronicles the down-in-the-gutter lives of a group of blue-collar losers, who work in a mattress store and plot to kill somebody.
