Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas stopped by NBC’s Today Show on Monday morning to promote her new book, Raising the Bar. The 17 year-old chatted about her experience at the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner over the weekend and dished on how her life has been since her Olympic wins:
I’ve been having a lot of fun. Who knew that I would come up with two books after the Olympics. But my life has definitely been a whirlwind, but I’m just enjoying it. [...] I am really excited to get back in the swing of things.
Gabby describes Raising the Bar as “a big scrapbook,” highlighting her life, including the fun things she has done and the celebrities she has come across over the last year. In a lightening round of fun facts, Douglas shared that once she gets back into the swing of thing, she’ll be hitting the gym for 4-5.5 hours, Monday through Friday.
It’s definitely going to be very difficult because I’v been out of the gym. I ‘m really going to be sore, but I’m just excited for what’s ahead of me.
