R&B singer Usher Raymond stepped out to support Sugar Ray Leonard and his Foundation for its 4th Annual “Big Fighters, Big Cause” red carpet event on Tuesday, May 21.
In hopes to bring awareness to the juvenile diabetes, the Santa Monica Pier in Santa Monica, California played host to the charity fight night.
According to Sugar Ray Leonard’s official website, the five-hour event expected “over 1,000 guests, comprised of … celebrities, sports legends, and other[s]” including the likes of comedian, Tommy Davidson and R&B singer, Johnny Gill (see gallery).
In related news, Usher will be playing Sugar Ray Leonard in Hands of Stone, a boxing film about the great brawler Roberto Duran. Actors Robert DeNiro and Edgar Ramirez are also set to star in the biopic as well.
