Man of the hour Kanye West can now officially add actor to his ever-expanding portfolio. He is currently filming a cameo appearance in much anticipated “Anchorman” sequel. He was spotted on the Atlanta set alongside stars Christina Applegate and Paul Rudd. The film written by and starring Will Ferrell, reprising his role as the illustrious Ron Burgundy, is officially titled “Anchorman: The Legend Continues”. The movie is set for release in December 2013.
It has been confirmed that R&B superstar Usher is set to play Sugar Ray Leonard in the film “Hands of Stone”. The movie centers around the story of Panamanian boxing legend Roberto Durán, played by Edgar Ramirez. In his first leading role, he will star opposite Robert DeNiro, who plays Ray Arcel, the Hall of Fame trainer of Durán. When asked how he feels about his participation in the project, Usher states:
I’m up for the challenge, and I’m looking forward to it [...] I think my overall feeling is one of anticipation. It seems like this is a real passion project. It’s a film that everybody is so invested in, and I have the good fortune of having the character I’m playing still around.
Men In Black fans rejoice! The galaxy defenders will soon be back for the fourth time, as Men In Black IV is currently in development at Sony. Screenplay writer Oren Uziel has been tapped to pen a draft of the next installment of the movie franchise.
Men in Black 4 is in the early stages of development, and it is unclear to what extent franchise star Will Smith is involved at this point, though clearly there is interest to capitalize on last year’s movie. [READ MORE]
