Hate it or love it: FOX Television Stations has renewed The Wendy Williams Show for three more seasons. The highly controversial talk show has grown over 43 percent in the past year as noted in TheHollywoodReporter.
Wendy Williams’ show played part in Fox’s ratings by doubling those percentages. In a statement from Debmar-Mercury (a division of Lionsgate) co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus says the show has been recognized for its growth.
Our broadcast partners across the country have taken notice, demonstrating their faith in the staying power of this rapidly growing talk franchise with upgrades.
Wendy’s growth is credited to the decision in extending the Hot Topics segments and fewer reruns. The daytime talker is ranked 12th for the most watched talk show in syndication.
