Meet new musical renaissance man, Sebastian Mikael. Born in Sweden to a Swedish father and Ethiopian mother, Sebastian Mikael –– his former moniker being “De-Lor” –– was bred in a multicultural household that was enhanced by music.
As most great passions go, what started out as a youth hobby quickly burgeoned into a natural flair and compulsion, even. The classically-trained crooner picked up a guitar, began clocking in the hours at the studio and the rest –– as they say –– is history.
Once Mikael’s YouTube video for “Beautiful Life” garnered the attention of music industry veteran Sylvia Rhone, he quickly landed a record deal.
Currently in the studio concocting his highly awaited forthcoming debut album, Mikael has kept busy collaborating with some of the industry’s heavyweight producers and songwriters, including Jim Jonsin, Rico Love, Benny Blanco, Salaam Remi, Naughty Boy, Mike Posner and the Underdogs.
Take a listen to his latest single “Last Night,” featuring Wale, which lives on Mikael’s impending debut mixtape that releases this fall via Slip-N-Slide Records.
