George Zimmerman was found not guilty on the 25th day of his trial at the Seminole County Criminal Justice Center late Saturday night (July 13) in Sanford, Florida.
Zimmerman was charged with second-degree murder in the 2012 shooting death of Trayvon Martin but now walks away a free man.
Seen smiling after the verdict was read, the 29 year-old walked out the courtroom with his wife and team of lawyers. On the other hand, Travyon Martin’s parents were not present in the court for the reading of the verdict, but his father, Tracy Martin wrote this message via twitter:
God blessed Me & Sybrina with Tray and even in his death I know my baby proud of the FIGHT we along with all of you put up for him GOD BLESS. Thanks to everyone who are with us and who will be with us si we together can make sure that this doesn’t happen again. Even though I am broken hearted my faith is unshattered I WILL ALWAYS LOVE MY BABY TRAY
