After a day of whale watching went awry, Kelly Rowland still remains positive.
On Friday (July 19), the singer set off to sea in Provincetown, Massachusetts where she and a group a friends would encounter a boat ride from, well, hell.
The group set sail for the day, only for their fun-filled adventure to be cut short when their captain was said to have become “disoriented.” An employee at TowboatUS in Provincetown tells Cap Cod Times:
The boat’s captain apparently was following a commercial whale-watching vessel in the hope of viewing whales. the private boat’s captain lost sight of the larger commercial boat and became disoriented about 20 miles north of Provincetown.
After Rowland’s boat broke down, the group was escorted back to shore. Kelly, her friends, and the Coast Guard crew made it safely on land after being at sea for nearly 12 hours. The group, was said to be tired yet thankful. Following the incident, the former Destiny’s Child singer took to her Instagram account to recount the happier hours of her stay in Provincetown.
We’re glad you’re safe Kelly.
