From the creator of Eves Bayou comes the contemporary adaptation of Langston Hughes’ holiday musical drama, Black Nativity.
The film stars Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Hudson, and freshman actor Jacob Latimore. Black Nativity follows Langston (Latimore) a Baltimore streetwise teen raised by a single mother (Hudson) who travels to New York City to spend the Christmas holiday with his estranged relatives.
The Kasi Lemmons’ remake is slated to hit theaters November 27th, just in time for the holiday seasons. In the meantime, check out the star studded trailer above.
