Weeks after his release from prison, Queens rapper Ja-Rule appears in a preview clip for the upcoming film, I’m in Love with a Church Girl directed by Steve Race. The film synopsis reads:
Inspired by a true story, a successful entrepreneur haunted by a criminal past finds faith and redemption when God puts a woman in his life.
The 36-year-old actor was 34 when production for the action/crime thriller began back in 2010. In an interview that took place prior to his incarceration, the Murder Inc rapper talked about filming a love scene with actress/singer Adrienne Bailon and how he feels the movie turned out:
Since we shot the film I’ve got nothing but great, great reviews. It’s been real good for me. I’m really happy that project came together like it did.
Stephen Baldwin, Michael Madsen and Adrienne Bailon (who plays the church-going lass) also star. Watch the official trailer up top.
I’m In Love With A Church Girl is slated to debut in theaters October 18, 2013. Will you be going out to see this?
