Concrete Loop set foot outside of the studio to catch up with the Hip-hop legend, Pete Rock. Much to our pleasant surprise, Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede of Camp Lo also joined in, as we delved into the Hip-hop culture (then and now), and the group’s newest EP, 80 Blocks from Tiffany’s II.
The rap pioneers are a boisterous bunch. Having been bred in the Bronx –– birth place to the genre –– the crew minced no words and eagerly discussed the makings of the music they love so much, from DJing down to the studio grind.
Their latest body of work, 80 Blocks from Tiffany’s II, which features guest appearances by Mac Miller, Talib Kweli and more, was released on July 30 and is available for download HERE.
Peep the one-on-one with 80 Blocks from Tiffany’s up top. After the break, check out bonus footage on which artists they think currently reign, and what advice Pete Rock and Camp Lo have to give to up and comers.
