KANYE GOES GOLD!
The slow-burner that is Yeezus finally joins its contemporary Born Sinner in the land of Gold. As of this week, Yeezus has been RIAA-certified Gold as 500,000 units of the album have been shipped. Sales to date are at 497,000 units. Many critics attribute the slower sales of this project to Kanye’s very controversial content and at times dissonant sound in production.
This good news comes just shy of two weeks before his much anticipated MTV Video Music Awards appearance, where he will be performing “Black Skinhead”. Congrats to ‘Ye!
