Ron Artest aka Metta World Peace sat down with HOT 97′s Social Media/Creative Content Coordinator Dependonjen. The former Los Angeles Lakers Small forward traded in his purple and gold jersey for orange and blue as he just became the newest member of the New York Knicks.
The New York native (born in Queens) dished on getting the call to become a Knick and what it’s like to play in his home town.
On Getting The Call To Become a NY Knicks:
I’m more a fan of the city than I was more a fan of the players so when I got the call to be a Knick, what I was most excited about was the potential to play for a championship. Because everybody on the team are championship caliber players, so, that was fun.
Artest also dished on his, now, friendly rival team, The Brooklyn Nets. To find out if he’s intimidated by the opposing team, check out the full interview up top. A Basketball fan?
