Let’s get acquainted with the story of Wesley Warren Jr., a Las Vegas man who suffered a rare medical condition since 2008 that had him wearing a hoodie as pants to cover his 100 plus pound genital area.
Warren’s plight began when he accidentally struck the area causing it to grow as much as three pounds per month.
After a special aired on Britain’s Channel 4 in June as The Man with 10-Stone Testicles, the 49-year-old took his story to TLC. The network aired Warren’s quest to seek medical treatment earlier this week. So where does that leave Warren today? Find out more after the jump…
It turns out that Warren turned to personalities like Howard Stern for help, using the pen name “Jonathan from Las Vegas” to tell his story. Upon hearing about his rare condition, producers from The Dr. Oz show offered Warren a free surgery in 2011.
Surprisingly, Warren decline with the fear of dying on an operating table. Since then, he received $8,000 in donations which led to him finally pay for his surgery this year.
On April 8th doctors in Irvine, California performed a procedure that would relieve Warren of the enlarged scrotum. Now that he’s recovering, he blames the nation’s health care system — saying his ordeal should not have lasted that long.
