Since Michael B. Jordan‘s touching performance in the summer hit film, Fruitvale Station, the movers and shakers of Hollywood have considered him for several roles.
According to TheWrap, the budding star is now being eyed for Roland Emmerich‘s Independence Day sequel.
The German director met with a few up-and-coming actors, Jordan being one, for a part in the upcoming film. It’s unknown whether Will Smith– who starred in its original — will return or what part Jordan is being sought out for. However, sources say Jordan is very interesting in being apart of the project.
Also, The 26-year-old has been filming his new movie, which now has an official release date. The dating comedy, That Awkward Moment — previously titled Are We Officially Dating? — stars Jordan, Zac Efron (Hairspray, 17 Again) and Miles Teller (Project X, 21 & Over) as three close friends who are dealing with the question that arise in dating.
That Awkward Moment is slated for a wide release by FilmDistrict on Jan. 31, 2014.
