The music of Marvin Gaye has defined a generation, but his story has yet to be seen in bio-pic form on the big screen. The public may finally be treated to such, in the film Sexual Healing.
Directed by Julien Temple and starring Jesse L. Martin (Law & Order) as Marvin Gaye, the film chronicles Gaye during the 1980s when he relocated to Belgium to record one of his greatest works, Midnight Love. The movie also stars S. Epatha Merkerson as Marvin’s mother, Alberta Gay, and Dwight Henry as his father Marvin Gay, Sr.
