Finally singer/songwriter Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds can see his name etched in the famed sidewalk in Hollywood.
Family and friends of the music industry stepped out on the afternoon of Thursday, October 10th as the 10-time Grammy winner unveiled his new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Having written over 26 No. 1 R&B hits throughout his career, Babyface still never imagined joining the likes of Michael Jackson, The Supremes and the recently added Jennifer Lopez — whom at which received the 2,500th star.
Still and all, friends including Usher, L.A. Reid, Stevie Wonder, Diddy, and Toni Braxton were in attendance to celebrate with him. “I was so proud of him. Because Kenny is kind of shy. He has a great sense of humor,” Braxton told USA Today. “A lot of people don’t know that about him, and he’s very modest. So I know it took a lot of pushing to get him to even commit to this.”
Both Braxton and Babyface have worked together on many of projects and are currently working on a new deut album titled Love, Marriage & Divorce slated for a released on November 25th.
