Soon, Jennifer Hudson and Ruben Studdard will have another thing in common besides American Idol.
We all fell in love with Studdard when he won the title as American Idol in 2003. Now, the 35-year-old is documenting his weight loss journey on NBC’s The Biggest Loser.
And aside from new found friends back at the ranch and trainer Jillian Michaels, Studdard is getting lots of support from a fellow AI alum — Jennifer Hudson.
At an event Hudson attended earlier this week, she shared how proud she is of the season 2 winner and his weight loss journey.
It’s one thing to lose weight, it’s another thing to keep it off. I do believe if he’s gone this far to make that commitment, he’ll make it. Just keep that mindset. I was just so happy for him. It’s a journey. He has to find his niche and work in his own time.
In 2010, the 32-year-old singer/actress started her own weight loss journey where she would drop over 80 pounds and become a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers.
