There may be more to celebrate for the newly engaged couple, KimYe, but for now its time to get back to work.
Promoting his Yeezus tour, Kanye West appeared on San Francico’s Wild 94 morning show where he touched on the topic of his surprise guest during his opening night in Seatle this past weekend — The Jesus Christ look-alike.
While there was major criticism following the act, Kanye still felt there was nothing wrong with the decision. The Chicago-bred rapper admitted meeting with a friend– who just so happen to be a pastor– about the delivery of the show featuring “Jesus” which made even his fiance, Kim Kardashian, go ‘hmmm.’
[Kim] even asked afterward, ‘Is that weird if Jesus comes onstage?’ And I’m like ‘No, we do plays all the time. People play Jesus.’ What’s awesome about Christianity is, we’re allowed to play God. We’re allowed to draw an image of him, we’re allowed to make movies about him. Other religions you’re not allowed to do that.
He went on to describe his concert as “a painting,” adding that “It’s a sculpture, it’s a moving opera, it’s a play, it’s a message.”
Watch the various clips of the interview (videos up top and below) where Kanye also discusses his current album, the Illuminati, and changing his voice when talking to “Corporate” people.
