Michael Jackson‘s 1983 hit “Human Nature” has been covered and sampled by numerous artists including the multi-instrumentalist/singer Stevie Wonder to jazz legend Miles Davis, but none compared to R&B singer Lyfe Jennings.
One would think no one could ever pull off The King of Pop’s most popular song, or any song of MJ’s for that matter. However, in a performance for The Recording Academy’s “ReImagined” series, Jennings arguably gives one of the best renditions of the famous ballad.
In addition to his unique cover of “Human Nature,” Jennings performed his lead single, “Boomerang” from his forthcoming album, Lucid.
Lucid will be in stores on Tuesday, October 8th. Until then, check out the ReImagined performance up top. Also, peep the bonus interview clip below.
