Ms. Lauryn Hill made a triumphant return to the stage on Thanksgiving Eve in New York City. The singer made her first post-incarceration performance at the Bowery Ballroom in downtown Manhattan.
Originally scheduled to perform two shows on the evening of November 27th, Hill was only able to perform for the second later show. She gave the following statement via her website:
Due to weather related delays,
Ms. Lauryn Hill is going to have to reschedule her early show at The Bowery Ballroom. The show will now take place on December 10. All tickets purchased will be honored for the new date, or can be refunded through point of purchase. The late show tonight will go on as scheduled. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. [LINK]
She did not disappoint however, in her live performance. Ms Hill performed her hits in a near two-hour set, which included revamped musical arrangements in more of a reggae styling. Check out part one of her performance above.
